My 15 minute visit to nVidia server today

Fri Feb 20, 2004 1:11 am

After reading Troll's post and seeing how #1 was down this early evening...I decided to visit an EA or nVidia server to spectate. I ended up in the nVidia Yamamoto 64 man server and Wake. Here are some nice shots.

We'll start off with the usual jeep to the airfield which there were several of.

Next, the plane camp 2-step. You know that corsair only has 1 seat...

Same thing for SBD, except it can fit one more. This was a consistent theme throughout the match. Never was the airfield or carrier short of campers.

But these 2 are the plane camp kings. Nevermind that the axis haven't finished securing the airfield. These guys are sure a teammate will do that for them....yeah, right.

Lets not forget about the obligatory ship beaching...

or 2...

This Ace SBD pilot tried coming in for a landing. He should of eased off the rudder a lot.

Oh yeah, the best part was the "vote to kick player" spam. Finally, "General Sherman" had enough of it and typed in to quit issuing votes. You only have to guess what happened next...

There are more pictures of all the same stuff - jeeps to planes, campers, guys crashing upon takeoff, teammates shooting at own planes, etc. The one thing that kept this match from being a free-for-all was that FF was not on. I can only imagine the scene if it were on.

So, to Troll and others, next time keep these images in mind when you think about misbehaving on this server.

Of course, the admin coverage here is top-notch, but I have to admit, I enjoyed intentionally TKing Fat Bastard today while the server was down. :D  But hey, he TKed first...right?...

I suffered the today's episode of "The Three Stooges", enough TK'ing there to tide me over for a few weeks... Never did my kicking reflexes feel more in need of use...
