Happy 21st Anniversary of this Brilliant Game

Postby Hayling » Thu Dec 31, 2020 11:13 pm

Here goes my absolutely crappy poem of sorts

2001-2021?

Dang are we gettin' old
Playing this and still rocking.
From Newbies to Oldies
From below average to well above average players
Some have kids, some may have grand kids
Some have kids from the start, some none at all
Some are still bachelors/spinsters
All in all having fun at the very end of the day to the next
To the spoiled victories and the losses
To the embarrassing plays and pitfalls
To the joyous plays and wild moments
To the med packs, ammo packs
To the revives and gibs
To all the Artillery, Airstrikes and Panzers
To all the venting and picking of the Venom guns and Sniper rifles (whatever)
To all the Objectives tossed around
To all the flags taken or laid bare
For all the dynamites blowing up
To our fallen players in heaven to players still living
To the players from the ole countryside, to the suburban communities to the giant cities of America
To the players from Europe, Asia, Africa, Caribbean, South America and Australasia (maybe Artic?)
Players come again to play Ze wonderful game called Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Wunderbar!

This game is Vee Five Seven.
Turns age twenty-one this game has..

Return to Castle Wolfenstein!

Yes and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year.

Thanks to all of you that keep this server going with your presence. Some of you leave for weeks, months or even years. But, you always find your way back. Big thanks to Donny (MAA) for keeping it running. I can think of a few players we have lost in the last 21 yrs. Ryknow, Dupovian and Epitome and possibly Meyer. I know there is a lot more. May they rest in peace.
Hope you all stay healthy and safe.

Your math is a little off...It will be 20 years in November, but we'll have to try and make it to 40!

I resemble that remark.

;)

Cheers to all who have played on ECGN in the past, and still do. Can't believe how long it's been. Still have my original install CD somewhere in a box. A CD! What the hell.
