Musicians?

Postby =TAO=WARPIG » Sun May 11, 2008 7:25 am

Any of you guys/gals play any instruments? I played the guitar for about 30 years but recently switched to playing bass only. There are so many awesome guitarists out there, we have like 4-6 of them in =TAO=.
I never gigged with anyone or played any shows or anything like that. I'm basically a 'cellar dweller' musician. Music has always cost me money, it has never made me any.
Anyway, here's a link to my YouTube channel, you can get to my vids from there if you're interested.

If you got any YT vides up. I'ld like to check them out.

*I also like to repair and build guitars as a hobby, so if any of you ever run into any problems and need some help just let me know and I'll do my best to help you out.

I played Sax for 8 years, and have recently picked up the acoustic guitar in free time.

sax, I hear that is one of the hardest instruments to play. Good luck with the guitar.

Played the trumpet for 7 years and got pretty damn good at it... was the best in my school junior and senior year in the jazz ensemble and symphonic band... I love the jazz ensemble... but I haven't picked it up since I graduated from high school.

I guess that's a hard instrument to practice since there really isn't any control of the volume.

There's tons of control with the volume. However much air you put into it.

It was a hard instrument to practice though... it is unlike a reed instrument, if you take a week off and don't play your trumpet at all, you will be like a beginner next time you pick it up. Lips will be shot

Played the Alto Sax for 7 years. Played in both jazz ensemble and symphonic band in middle and high school. Loved it a lot. Haven't played since i graduated though.
