A bold attempt for a change: The TPJ

Democracy based on the fundamental principle of equality, sweeps aside all claims of privilege. When much wealth gets concentrated in the hands of a few who control the institutions of governmental power, that government will always serve the interests of those elites first.
A democratic government’s stated primary purpose of serving “we the people” and to “promote the general welfare” can become an illusion manipulated by the powerful to gain control over the non-elites. Democracy is always threatened by the possible collusion between the rich aristocracy and political class who try to take control of the government for their own narrow benefits. When that effort succeeds, the institutions of democracy will continue to exist long after the political system has degenerated into an oligarchy.
The texans for public justice (TPJ), a non-partisan watchdog, starting from humble beginnings has made a bold attempt to take on the various ills plaguing the executive and the judiciary. From humble beginnings nearly a decade ago, the TPJ has come a long way to become one of the most respected study circles whose in-depth studies and investigations are noted for its impartial assessment of serious issues.
By consistently evaluating the background of the various people who coughed up huge donations for the political campaigns of the respective political parties, the TPJ could expose the unholy nexus between some of the bigwigs in the corporate world and the political class. However the efforts to clean up the mess in the judicial system through public debate was not that much easy for the texans for public justice, since it had to face so much criticism from many quarters. :drink:
