Haha me three, i'm surprised with all the references to ecgnetwork.com in game and on a average night, about 10 ppl are banned you'd think there'd be more plights for us to be entertained with.

the ban doesn't expire. you get a parole hearing, not clemency. reread buliwyf's response.

Judging my playing style on one incident is being very short sighted. Go check the chat logs if you have them, I have helped newbies with the server rules, shown respect to the admins, and generally contributed positively.

BTW, I had no idea it was an admin in the plane. It was late and I was tired. I wouldn't be surprised if thats why I didn't really pay attention to what people were saying on TS.

it only takes one incident when you commit such an egregious offense.

does it matter if it was an admin in the plane or not? you didn't pay attention to the situation of the game when you joined, you ignored repeated radio calls to cease and you tuned out the commotion on teamspeak about some idiot ramming a plane with his jeep...

Yeah, I know the rules, and I broke them. I wasn't expected to get unbanned that night anyways, and probably for a week. But a month? Thats going over.

At least I had the balls go out and admit what I did.

pete rose expressed more contrition and his best chance to join the hall of fame will be after he's dead.

He still said in a month.

Stop letting me know of what I did wrong, all I want to know now is the process and how long this is going to last. :wall:

Xythar please stop digging a deeper hole for yourself. Buli was mistaken it wasnt him that banned, it was me. I checked the log. When you have two different admins racing to ban you. You obviosly did somthing horribley wrong. I was happy with the month ban until your last few posts. I have a question. if you knew that an Admin was in the plane your :tard: move would have been different? My job is to protect the server from :tard: and judging by your game play and your responses on the forum you are one. You show no remorse or regret for your mistakes. Yeah, you had the balls to admit that you did somthing wrong, but only after their were multipal witnesses, and we drug the thruth out of you. I rammed a plane with a jeep, my bad Was your original post. This is a little different than what really happened...dont you think. Anyway, because of your attitude you can approach ME to have your ban lifted on March 14. Have a nice day

as I stated, and I quote

"See me in about a month and maybe my attitude about the situation will change"

There was never a guarantee you would ever be let back in.

I won't toss in my 2 cents on this guy, but there is something on the reg-tking I think needs to be said. I would like to ask that there be a bit more uniformity of rules enforcement on deliberate tks. All to often on TS I here - ooppss my bomb "accidentally" landed on that :tard: sniper. Or ooppss my tank shell "accidentally" landed on that :tard: sniper . From the clearly mocking tone it was no accident. It is not always a sniper, I just used that as an example. To often it seems to clearly be NOT an accident. Also, on 12-15-03 somebody openly bragged on the forum about pushing snipers off ledges and killing them. Anything ever done to that guy? It seems he was cheered on instead of scolded. My 2 cents...:help:

If I see it, I will warn and then kick the person responsible.... while I can understand the desire for this behavior, it will not be tolerated under the rules.

I tell everyone that revenge tks will not be tolerated, and that those responsible will receive the same punishment as the original tkers...

Also, as regulars, I expect people on TS to know the rules and follow them. There is actually less leeway for regs in this matter IMO, since they should know better.

If there's too many snipers, or you get tk'd, tell an admin, and we'll do our best to take care of it :)

I take care of these cases in private channels, PMs, etc.

Often, after a private conversation with a player, he decides to go to bed early. I must be a very boring guy.

Vamprey, I consider you and Col Ingus among my online buddies. However, I kicked Col Ingus the other night for Tking, and I talked to him about "accidentally" killing a smacker. I will not allow this pratice on my watch, because if I did it would soon turn in to the wild west.

P.S. You have Tked me on "accident" and I haven't kicked you.

Unless we were late nite jeep racing or other such mischief I never fire in the direction of a team mate with intent to do harm. When I do tk someone in a game that counts I always say "sorry" if I noticed I tk'd a teammate. Sometimes it happens and I don't notice it. At those times I hope the team mate is a forgiving soul. The above issuse I mentioned was referring to not so accidental tk's that the guilty party actually appears proud of on TS. If I were to tk on purpose then I should get the "boot" just like anyone else. If it gets to the point that I feel any second I'm going to frag that idiot no matter what team he is on, then I quit for awhile and cool off. Most of my tk's are when I kill me by mining a moving tank. The only time I think I fraged you recently, you were on the other team on Bocage and therefore earned my little green disk by default.:D

I might add that Col. Ingus took his kick like a man and agreed that it was deserved. We all get incredibly pissed-off at worthless teammates. We've all wanted to TK smackers but somehow we usually overcome that desire.

Hell I'll admit that I've been one of those .. but I'm for the majority of the time a calm individual .. its those cases that I'm peeved off that I go and do this - especially if an admin wasn't paying attention/didn't catch it intentionally (and my words fell on deaf ears). So I often find it just easier of instead trying to deal with it, to go do something else for a while instead of getting frustrated with a silly game.

Or like the other time when a smacker wouldn't heal me .. putting one pistol round actually stopped him (not the radio spamming of Medic however after running after him) .. and wouldn't you know, Enjin was about.. Go figure I get caught in the act (again) :P
