I just dont understand...
I just dont understand how there is still newbies playing wolf that have no clue what to do on a single map like beach, I mean comon if most these people are so dumb playing video games, i dont think they should be on a public server:tard: I mean you still have people that snipe, and people that shot the panzer from the bunker door. I dont think 3/4 the people ever made it to the war room. If only there was a system that would let only x amount of hours someone plays on a server.
"Balls," said the queen. If i had 2 I would be the King.
Everyone likes a little ass, but nobody needs a smartass.

when i was a noob i just sat snug to the left of the bunker door and handed out ammo all the time....my team never had to asked for ammo. dont ask why i did this...i just did lol. i had like 245 ammo packs passed out or more per game lol. at least i didnt block the door or grab the docs and not know where to go lol. Then i realized people were actually out there doing something so i decided to join them and see what they were doing...havent passed out ammo ever since. I only passed out ammo for like 5 days and decided to go for the docs although its a hard thing for a noob lol.
most of you know i dont do that any more.

I had a fair bit of on-line gaming experience when I started rtcw, so learned the ropes fairly quickly. But I'm an old fart and can't expect younger generations new to on-line gaming to have experience.
Annoying things like don't block door-ways or halls or stairs etc would seem common-sense, but maybe that's why car licenses have an age reguirement. Honestly--I can't remember how much of an idiot I was back then, but given the amount of near-deaths I had riding bycicles and such, I was probably pretty oblivious to the 'world at large'.
Beach 24/7 always has a lot of folks in it--and that probably draws noobs to wanting to join. Plus it isn't pass-word protected, and nor does it have any clan-tags attached to it.
I kind of feel sorry for kicking some players, because I'm pretty sure by watching them stumble around, banging into walls and shooting their team-mates, or pulling out a nade and watching it intently for, oh, about 5 seconds, that these are really young kids.
And Ship...I had to laugh visualizing you running around planting dyno all over the map--lol, that isn't noobish activity I could ever see you doing. But there ya go.

i got kicked my first time.. i was setting dyno all over the place.. was the only thing i knew at the time. theres always going to be noobs, no matter what game u play. or people that just plain suck.. its a part of life, everyone is good at some things, but not everything
Thats just funny. . . My first time playing on mulitplayer was at my friends house (i didnt own the game yet) and I saw the panzer and thought it was this kick ass weapon, yeah, I blew myself up. When I got the game for myself, I was a LT a lot because at the time there was no restriction on air strikes and they seemed rather effective. Thank God I am no longer a noob.

I remember the first and only time I was kicked... 3-4 months ago. Keek kicked me off because... Oh just, Keek, why did you kick me?? ;-) I suppose I did like all noobs do, I fired with the panzer faust from the bunker door...
But I'd like to say something about it, remember that:
"How good you're at something, there is always someone overclassing you at it..."
So, be patient with people, especially with new players, and try to explain them what they do wrong and give them a chance to improve. For people who have children, they easily understand what I mean...
I admit I often shout at people blocking the bunker door but sometimes, I don't say anything and go backward, turning around the long wall and I continue playing arriving at the other entrance...
Nice sunday,
Xavier

I first wanted to buy Counter Strike. But after seeing rtcw at my friends place, I was sold for life.
I first played on public-n00b servers ( especially Tram).
But after my Try-out on oc48, I almost never played Tram again.
Those sweet games, when I always thought: where the f- are those vents again?? And in my search to find them, I picked up a strange document, that gave me a green symbol in my screen. It wasn't so difficult to figure out that this was a very important thing. So I always ran back to the Forward bunker ( what would not be more logical than returning the objectives back to home-base??
). But I never got kicked. After a while I understood where the docs really belonged, and than we played Fun-beach on Oc48. Since then I made many 'friends' on oc48 ( or 24/7).

I also remember the 1st time I had the documents, at the very beginning. I was a noob (I'm still, I know) and the path was clear.. It was not on this server but on another one (UWF server)
I had 2 for health and still a few bullets in my pistol (5-6 bullets). I stayed in the canalisations, V21, V21, V22, V22... I stayed there for 2-3 minutes..Finally, a medic and a lieutenant arrived... Shot me, shit, these were germans...Great moment...

can't remember my 1st Wolf experience- but i'm sure I was a doorblockin Mo-ron- and i was still 56k'ing so everything i did was slow and stupid
I remember I went to compusa on my b-day w/ $50 (thought i was waiting for MoH to come out)
turned out it was the 1st day Wolf was on the shelves. Single-player was meh, but when i fired up the MP i was blown away
I'd played the Tribes 1 demo to death on a 56k but Wolf was basically my first MP shooter and is solely responsible for me having a cable connex, joining a clan and playing in CAL and now 2yrs later still geeking on the EC Beach server everyday.
even my g/f says "Schnell!" now

yeah, it's hard to imagine these guys ever being that noobly
but of course we all were- my biggest bonehead play came in my 1st clan match- meaning to drop ammo on our Engs planting dyno (Chateau cellar) and instead dropping an AS on them and killing half the team- OH- and it was also my 1st time recording a demo

First time I played wolf wasnt on ecgn server's, but I remember I got kicked because I was shooting really well, but had absolutely no clue where to go or what to do, so people said I must be using an aimbot cuz I was a complete noob. I had a ton of previous gaming experience from Quake, just never played a coop game like rtcw
