screenshot help

I know how to take screenshots in game, but how do you take them outside of the game such as at teh menu?

ive heard things like printscreen but i dont know where those pics end up at?! any advice?

n00b!

Go in Paint, the default image program for windows and press Ctrl+V to paste it. Save it and if you have Windows XP it will be in the My Pictures folder or in any folder you'll save it in.

and say i copy it to paint, then the portion of the bitmap not covered by teh pic is all whte...how do i get rid of that? so when/f i post the pic that annoying rectangular bitmap isnt there

Just take your cursor to one of the sides of the white box (or corner) and the icon will Change. You can resize it until its only the size of your image.
