64 = too much!

Tue May 27, 2008 5:46 pm

just thought... open to discussion of course. i was thinking maybe the ecgn admins could try splitting the server in half... make 2 servers of like 24-30 slots?

just a suggestion...

when it gets to 40+ guys its just way to much... with all the tk's and blocking going on.

FLAME ON

Too many for a competition or clan server, yes. But for a big, bad, chaotic pub? It's perfect. The few times it ever gets to 40 players or beyond these days (although I'm surprised at how often it does happen lately...) is when the games are the most fun, I think. People stop being so gosh darn serious, and things get a little chaotic and unpredictable. There can be huge shifts in dominance of the upper base and such. That's harder when you've only got a few people on a side.

But like with so many things, I don't know that my opinion matches what others think.

Mr Dogday is scary with that venom when the server is full.

i could care less about being lotto naded... happens all the time in my favor and not in my favor. i just hate being tk naded CONSTANTLY... and being blocked by retards CONSTANTLY.... pretty sure 80% of the times I play i'm tk'd more then i'm killed by the other team.

why do you think I play as STAYAWAYFROMME

theres a reason ;o

I used to get tired of osp players sprinting in front to steal your kill and complaining when they got caught in the crossfire. Just think happy thoughts and deal with it...

Speaking of L337 players... wtf is up with all the /kill-tards, lately? I see more /kills now than I ever have before on ECGN. That's got to be the single lamest behavior. On a pub server? Seriously?

Look, I know it's embarrassing to lose a battle with me, but trust me, it won't happen very often. Let me have my victory. I promise you'll get to 3-shot-drop me like ten times in a row afterwards. It won't hurt your KR at all. :D

(not saying you do this, Redman, I'm just saying in general...)

Could just up the tk points for /killing so they'd get autokicked. Wouldn't stop it but you could at least laugh about it when they got kicked :P

Perhaps you jest - but I'd say it's a spectacular idea

I think its a bad idea...Chaos is half the fun....You really think lowering the numbers will stop blocking and team nadding?

Intentional tk'ers suck but I don't see many of them on. I don't see it as a serious problem on the server. As long as the tk'er makes a good effort to revive (if he's a medic) then I don't mind.

All /kills should result in an auto-kick for 3 minutes.

I see that the server will auto-kick slashers some of the time but not at other times, why is this?

why would you auto kick for /kill ? .. that might be the dumbest thing i've ever heard. so when i want to change classes and i /kill ... id be kicked?

come on...
