Banned

Hello friends!

I was just banned by Bubba for having my name as "martin OSP in 30 minutes" and "martin osp osp osp osp". I was renamed as soon as I connected without warning and kicked after changing my name back. I reconnected and attempted to explain I was not advertising a server and I had not even mentioned anything regarding where to play OSP in chat or private messages. We have not played OSP in several months and I was simply attempting to inform individuals that there is an alternative to shrubmod.

Furthermore, if the ban stands, several other individuals should also be banned for having similar names at the same time I was connected.

You're not banned. I don't care if you guys come in and let others know that there is an osp game. I get the same thing on my Facebook from James. It's not like you're running to another shrub server with the ECGN players. Bubba get a grip already.

Msb outranks me and she unbanned you....that's fine. You and the others were asked to change your names atleast twice. You refused to. When you were kicked you came back and ledt the names as they were. It wasn't so much the name as the refusal to do what the admin asked. If you would just done what i asked....right or wrong as you look at it....everything would have been fine.

One of the other guys doing it didn't keep changing his name back to the ad. And Bob and i were disscussing it then he left.

So, maybe next time just don what you are asked to do and everything will be fine. And it was just a temp ban....a few minutes...but i forgot to unban you. For that, i'm sorry.

I was discussing it with you, but I left when I felt things were become contentious enough for me to get banned for what really amounted to nothing.

My argument is that we gave no server addresses, didn't verbally recruit or redirect anyone, and really nothing instigatory was intended. Of the 20 or so players in the server at that time, how many would have left for OSP? Maybe one or two?

ECGN runs the only game in town, so to speak. We aren't running a shrub server and we aren't trying to steal your players. This was our first OSP night in months, and we were excited and wanted to make sure everyone we'd talked to knew it was time to play.

We had 9's for a while, then went down to 7's for most of the night. We played from ~9:30 to ~01:00

ok Larry, i'll go along with you said......good point. Maybe next time just come on and p/m the one or two that might be interested. Might save some aggrivation.
