little tech help
I have a Sony DA3200ES 7ch amplifier, my DVD player, cable box, Sirius radio and surround sound speakers (7.1) are wired through there, my computer is connected directly to my 50 inch, here's the issue
I have Creative Fatal1ty headphones which is great for gaming, but when I am streaming a not out yet movie (free of course) from the internet, my daughter, my wife and I would love not to use head phones or my cheesy pc speakers, any way I could connect my pc to my amplifier aka reciever??
No I don't won't to use my TV speakers, no I don't want to spend more money on computer surround sound
There has to be some sort of plug in for about 25 bucks, can't seem to find anything
Any help??

Yeah..that's what I use...Unfortunately you'll only get stereo output, not surround. Your card probably also has an optical out..that will give you the surround.

Re: little tech help
I'm sure there's an easy way to run it into your amplifier, probably could just run a 1/8" or 1/4" stereo cable from the line-out of your sound card to an input on the amplifier. really can't say without seeing it though.
BUT
why are your pc speakers "cheap"? When I bought my Dell about 11 years ago it came with Altec Lansing small desk speakers and a subwoofer, all for an extra $30.00. The sound is so good that I don't need any other speaker system for music. The sub-woofer is the key.Half volume is more than enough for me. I even use them for my guitar. These used are a dime a dozen on ebay.
Screw radio shack. I found this place last week because I needed two HDMI cables. Some places charge upwards of $50.00 for these. I got 2 for $6.00 and they work perfectly. This place is the best.

You can get optical cables for a couple of bucks too...I would go with the optical if I had the choice.
Re: little tech help
I use to do the the pc to big screen television connection but I found the best option for me was downloading a program called ConvertXtoDvd and putting all movies onto a dvd. Not only did this save space on my hard drive but I could put entire seasons of shows onto a couple of discs and watch them anywhere that there was a dvd player.
I assume if you have no problem getting new movies off the internet then you should have no problem getting this program.

Re: little tech help
dvd player that plays divx is the best .all you do is burn it as a data file and play it back on your tv..one cdr holds one 700mb movie...dvd holds 5 or so movies on one disc
