votes are just annoying, and they never pass. Even if 90 percent of people want something they just instinctively F2 after the first few votes because the want the annoying little yellow text to be gone.

I have to agree with parrot here only because you are going to then have people talking trash like, "who the fuck wants this stupid map," or keep talking shit about players that fail the vote. It should either be done or not. Like parrot said, people will kill the vote at the expense of others and to make the vote go away.
and to point out something else: if you don't like the map, and go spec to pout and carry on, why? Try a new map, you don't have to like it as much as beach, but heaven forbid you play it. I hate when the map goes to marketgarden, but I play it. You will never satisfy everyone in life, nor will you always get your way. Learn to roll with the flow ya Nubz.

Maybe its just me, but I've had the opposite experience when calling votes, and voting. Most of the time if its legitmate it will pass. An example when it doesn't pass is when two scrubs get into a kitty fight saying "PlayerA tked me" and they call multiple votes which eventually lead to the players being ignored by the entire server. I see this happen when no admins are on. The only problem with voting is that everyone thinks it will fail before the vote is called. Which I dont see why, it is probably because those 3-4 words do take alot of time to read, comprehend, and react to. Damn skools is a fail.
