punkbuster disabled

I got kicked the other day for the "manually update your pb." So I updated it, but now it won't let me enable punkbuster. When I click on the punkbuster button in the top right of the menu, it doesn't do anything. I'm using XP btw.

Happened to me before can't remember if this is how I fixed it but I think I reinstalled the newest wolf update

Put seta cl_punkbuster 1 in cfg.

I tried putting cl_punkbuster 1 into both console, and my cfg, but it says its read only :X

If that doesn't work you will need to reinstall wolf and run the setup tool.
I had the same problem twice before and it was fixed doing this.
