I have logitech G35 but the sound is not soo loud as I want, In winamp, vlc games it´s perfect but not with youtube perhaps there sound is limited becuse I have max on everything.
But if you listen too mp3´s you should look in sennheiser at least Hd555 and over would make you happy!
For me was a easy choise G35 7.1sound or sennheiser no other when I bought mine for 3-4 weeks ago.
I had several headset and headphones.
Icemat siberia v2, nothing wrong with them just replace this with g35
Koss SB-45 pice of crap should returned it when I had chance.
Philips SBC-hp810 Really good sound the bow that goes over the head is broken after 3 years of using.
U.s Blaster usb-360 lol Dont even try it! I did not have this on me for 1 day.
and a few I donmt rembember names on.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Computer-PC-Skype-VoIP-Gaming-Headset-Headphone-Mic-/120618031608?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c156519f8Why do you need to spend $100 on a headset? This pair is cheap and hella comfortable on the ears. The sound quality is great. They are also light and don't slide off your head. I can hear the same things going on as a $100 pair.

if you don't need a mic/full gaming headset i can suggest the creative hq-1900 or hq-1700.
top quality, perfect bass reproduction, comfortable!
i have had 2 pairs of the hq-1700 and have a hq-1900 ready to take the hq-1700's place if/when they die!
i use them for gaming obviously but also listening to music and making music. They are very loud.
or like nobby said sennheiser are top notch too but pricey
