Just curious as to people's weapons of choice. Regardless of class (let's say medics could have flamethrowers) what do you like? Are you a Panzer-fiend, a venom wielder...?

Now I know knifing snipers on the beach is by far the funnest activity ever, but maybe those who answer "Other" could be more specific... after all, before 1.4 a medic's ONLY real weapon was the colt/luger (mostly because of sefish lts.). Also I know my favourite aspect of the engineer is the 8 grenades. Share people, share. (this thread is inspired by "I am in love" started by Pheonix.

What about the infamous air strike as a weapon of choice?

I picked other. Grenades are my choice of weapon. If you can get proficient at throwing them in just the right place at just the right time before they explode, you can get some good looking kills. Not to mention a grenade is almost an instant kill most of the time. I consider myself okay at using them. Some days I am just horrible with them though. I'll blow myself up with holding onto them too long or hopping on my own grenades. If you can get into a rhythm, look out though.

When I run out of grenades, I just use a gun but I will always have a grenade in my hand if I have some left.

Lately I've decided to give the sten a try but I found it sucks in close range encounters. It is really good for picking people off though. Anyone else like the Sten?

i used to play the sten, but it sucks when the guy youre shooting is bouncing off the walls dodging every bullet you shoot at him. its real good for picking off as you said...if i do use it, its a rare ocassion. in closed quarters, i like to rush people with it aiming for the head of course, but it only works if you can get them to stand relatively still. pistol works better alot of the time.

i love the mp40, and the venom in the ducts or war room.

for me venom rulez, but only on defence, so you can know more or less when the enemy will come and you have to spin the wheel

on beach venom rulez, cause you have much halls , and when you wait on a corner and you sdee enemy you can come out just when it starts to shoot. and then the other can't take cover (he's in a hall remember)

thats my choose, but actually i like every weapon, if you wont a fun game you'll have to use them all

I prefer to approach the game differently than most people...

I like beating my opponent's head in with my med packs. Those things sound heavy when you dish them out, so I imagine they'd hurt if you got one in the face. Truthfully, I've never been able to actually kill anyone this way, but I'm sure, given the proper timing and quantity of packs, this will work.

When I'm an engineer I like using my pliers on my opponent's facial features. Nothing hurts worse than a good nose tweak with a red hot pair of needle-nose pliers!

Also, when I'm on defense I also like hiding the documents under a pile of ammo packs. Those stupid Allies will never know that underneath that pile of innocuous ammo packs lies the goal to their frenzied attacks.

im a big fan of the pliers too. the titty twister (purple nurple) is a key technique often overlooked.

ive been known to crouch over a dead opponent awaiting revive just to freak him out by shoving my pliers in his face. haha.

Nice sense of humor you sadistic nutcakes. I've asked Mmmgood to add the rest of the weapons to the poll, maybe a tad too late.

Sometimes I see the allies drop the docs somewhere odd and closed off. I think "This is great, much easier to protect than the war room" plus the bastards will never find them, they don't know where to look. But some stupid idiot always picks them up. Has anyone actually tried this tactic and succeeded?

well mp40 is the best for long range just crouch and pick em off ive done it too snipers many a time

With the return of the poison needle I may have to start a whole new poll! the thing is murder in the ducts if you wait just around the first corner. I like to poison snipers on the beach too. It is, however, quicker to use it in conjunction with another weapon though, poison then pop them one in the head! Sadly there is a limit of 10 choices on a poll so I can't fit all the weapons, but I'd love to hear more of what people have to say about the needle and the rest, so far great comments guys!

well, it should be a good tactic night raven, but the docs stay their for only a limited period and then they go back on its own (but i think you allready knew that )

and also it doesn't work very good when the place were the bastard died is right in the middle of a stair or something like ;-) but most of the time i pick them up so we can start shooting again i don't like it to quard them and when the guy who dropt them comes back, kills you and gets the docs he can easy bring them in cause your teammlates don't know were he is (they haven't seen him come out the warroom etc.)
