Banned every time the map changes?
Hi. I recently started playing on your server. I used to play this game all the time as a kid and when I noticed a server in America I was happy.
The server will allow me to play a full map. The problem is, every time the map changes I get a message telling me the server disconnected for an unknown reason, and when i try to rejoin it tells me im banned. If i wait a few minutes I am able to re-enter the server.
Could someone please tell me what is going on? I believe punkbuster is completely up to date, and all of my settings are correct but I could be wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.

maybe copy and paste your cdkey into shrubmod folder... though i'm not sure exactly. i've seen it happen to people before though.

I also have RtCW on Steam. I'm interested to see if we are able to find a solution.
By any chance, after you installed RtCW on steam, did you apply the server patch found on this website?

You have the same issue?
Re: Banned every time the map changes?
go to your shrubmod folder and find wolfconfig_mp.txt
once you're inside click CTRL and F (at the same time to enable the find function)
type name, and keep pressing enter until you find:
seta name "name here"
if there is a blank space for example:
seta name ""
put a name inside and you should be good if it really is a name problem.

If it's a CD-Key problem usually the server wouldn't let you on it at all. But being that its steam it may be different. I have no idea never used steam to play wolf. Anyways go to your main folder and look for a file called "rtcwkey" if you don't have it you're going to need it, i can send you a cdkey if youre missing one just let me know. if you do have the file "rtcwkey" right click>open>open with notepad and make sure that you have a cdkey in there. (steam should have it already done for you im guessing) then it's ok.
and one final thing that could be wrong, but probably isn't... is that the admin is moving to maps like mp_ice or axis_complex which steam doesn't have the map packs maybe? don't know why that would ban you though...

I have :)
Re: Banned every time the map changes?
when you get banned for no apparent reason its 99% going to be cd key related... unless you ticked someone off which i kind of doubt.

What name are you using in game? I'll look it up in the log.
That error is usually due to no player name being set.
