Jesus christ, you're incredibly bitter. What does this thread really have to do with OSP other than some of the players used to play it? Everytime a player raises a valid point or opinion about ECGN, some OSP-hating blowhard blames it on OSP. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SHRUB! I love playing shrub. I love having more ammo. I love being able to goomba. I love being able to nade launch. It's a fun mod. Just drop the whole OSP thing because it's just a stupid attempt at an argument. The points being contested within this thread are not mod (OSP or shrub) related, they are admin-related. Is it really that difficult? Does the lack of sunlight over in jolly ole England make it difficult to comprehend logical arguments? Or, perhaps you comprehend the argument, but you are so mad that OSP players that now fill the server just absolutely abuse you to the point you no longer play anymore?

OSP just happened to be the mod used by competitions because it was built for competitions. Thus, the best players to play the game played OSP. Competition died and shrub is a better mod for public servers (in my opinion). Therefore, OSP players now play shrub. Why do you resent that so much? No interpersonal skills? Communication was the most important part of competition... so, i'm going to go with pretty high interpersonal skills. Competition died because "pro gamers" (not myself) moved on to the latest and greatest. It died because the community, like any other, had some morons who drove people away. Shrub has it's fair share of idiots, as evidenced by Gamb and yourself. The only reason it outlasted OSP is because competition died and now OSP players help keep the remains of RTCW as a whole alive.

Although, I do agree that OSP had an overabundance of people who lacked understanding for people in general. I tried playing OSP 5 or so years back, and I absolutely despised it... Not the gameplay itself.. I liked the level of difficulty and teamwork required in order to survive...

But the level of egoes and lack of actual team personalities aside from the occasional duo or so drove me away. Alot of 4 shot killers and no understanding for someone trying to learn the mod.

IMHO .. you have the little cheating 13 y/o or just plain pothead bastages to thank for that view on OSP.

It died because of the players. Not because of the lack of competition. There was never new blood because the new blood was driven away. Shrub made a conscious effort to take in the common nub.

I didn't feel the need to post about what happened because generally Slaughter is a good guy, but it was a bit ridiculous when he switched teams to be on the stacked team. Whether or not he did it because he likes to play Allies most of the time, I don't know. In a scenario where one team is keeping another in spawn, I don't think one of the better players on the team should switch to the dominant team, regardless of the situation. He doesn't like to shuffle and that's cool because I don't like shuffles either. I just felt he should have stuck it out on my team instead of improving the stacked team. Regardless, it was over quickly and the game moved on. You're the only one who seems to care to dwell on it.

When CAL finished, which was 3+ years ago, I believe I stopped playing for a little bit, but I have played on ECGN easily for 2+ years. I have said earlier in this thread that I think the server is great. For the most part the admins are cool, players are fun, and the settings are awesome for pubbing. Stop trying to exacerbate the situation and make me look like I hate ECGN because I clearly don't. This is why you have difficulty with reading comprehension. If I was ultra-competitive then would I try goombas all the time? Would I nade launch players? Would I go mauser and try and unscope people? No. I would corner camp (like you do) and play for stats. I would try to avoid dying at all costs and never revive anyone. The whole reason I still play is because ECGN is alot of fun.

Slaughter is a good guy, but obviously I was a bit disappointed in what he did and spoke up about it. I wish I wouldn't get muted if I voice my opinion, but at the end of the day, life goes on.

Gamb, you're the biggest loser i've ever encountered within this game. You try so desperately to get people to like you and nobody does. Not even within your own clan. I think it is you that needs to re-evaluate yourself and try to have more fun on the server. All you do is talk shit and call everyone a hacker. The best part is, you start talking shit to me and then when it gets thrown back in your face, you act like I started it and i'm the only one doing it. Nope, it doesn't work like that. You're only embarrassing yourself both on the server and on this forum.

Being bitter would imply that I actually cared about wolf skills, which I don't. I find it tremendously funny that people still do but that's about it.

Plus it's hard to be bitter when you were on the winning team. Today's topic is OSP pub servers still running for 10 points

I'm making the point about OSP because 90 percent of the worst whiners in the game came from OSP, apparently once you've played competitively you lose all sense of humour and perspective. It was a mod that seemed to attract crybaby's like pre-schools attract peodophiles; not that I'm trying to say that OSP players were peodophiles but hell why not, they could use the prison time to get some perspective...


It's a game:

It doesn't matter if someone accidentally shoots you in the back of the head,
It doesn't matter if the flag runner doesn't know where to go,
It doesn't matter if your KR drops below 2.5,
It doesn't matter if your gaming mouse pulls your shot an inch to the left,
