Hmmm yea i have definately noticed some people that all of a sudden lag so much they're impossible to hit... thanks for the info ship..

Ping hacks were real popular in ET. Someone would have a ping of 30 and it would look like they have one of 500 or something. Pain in the ass they are. Because insdtead of moving around the map it's more like they are warping around and it is very hard to hit them.

and you know what makes this even more funny? now that everyone is a little bit more understanding of what ping hacking is, all day the admins will deal with complaints of "HES PING HACKING I KNOW IT! I COULDNT HIT HIM!" when, of course, in all reality that Wolfplayer just sucks and couldnt hit water if he fell out of a boat...

First, I have noticed this myself.... the other day in fact. I went to shoot an allie.... and all of a sudden he looked like a 999'er..... so after he killed me, he suddenly went back to normal, climbed up the ladder leading to the upper bunker, and took an axis panzer in the face

and all I wanted to do was get to sniper hill

I've always wondered how someone can be lagging so bad that they can't be hit but when I check out their ping it's better than mine. Thanks for the explaination.

Ping-hacks? Are we talking about "timenudge"?

The max-ping rate is to low @ 175. I have to do /reconnect 10 times to join, that sucks. 250 would be a good rate.

i too saw a axis a few days back that was ping hacking.. he was in the trench entrance to the murderhole and i ran up and started shooting at him..when i noticed it didn't do anyhting i sat there till he stoped lagging..i checked his ping and it was around 75 i belive.. and out of nowhere i'm dead and i see him about to run into the front bunker...never even saw him move.

I've noticed this "thing" more than once. I'm glad it is going to be watched for. Next time I notice it, I wll contact an admin.

haha... i'm gonan start telling people that.. when an allie is makeing a run for the dcument i'll just give em' a spech about how it's just the matrix and he dosn't exist..maybe they'll start pondering it and give me enough time to cap em' in their face..^_^
