Just thought you guys would like to know.

The beach server is currently:

P4 2.6ghz 400FSB
1GB DDR333

I will be upgrading it to:

P4 3.0ghz 800FSB
1GB DDR400

It should be sometime in the next week or two. I'll post back when its done.

Outstanding, thanks!

well, it should reduce a bit of the server lag we get when there are 45+ people on.

Thanks Good.

Why not an A64 3200+ then? Should be cheaper and faster.

Why are you asking me that? I dont work at ECGN. My guess is that they are just reusing parts from another server. Also you aren't taking into account that switching from Intel to AMD would require a new motherboard.

Because mmmmgood is loyal to intel. :violin:
Also, it would take much more money to upgrade the motherboard as well as the ram and processor.

LESS LAG!

Specially for those of us with substandard machines- anything helps.

It's like Xmas. To all the good little girls and boys.

Merry early Xmas to everyone from MMmmgood and his elves!

Even though the A64 is a 64 bit processor the pentiums still might be better number crunchers which is what servers need to be, but i don't really know. :P
