only those maps? what about Keep? rocket? kungfugrip?

These maps are not the basic maps. The key point is that not all people have played or even have these maps you've mentioned. Kungfugrip, I don't even have that map. Rocket and Keep are both fun maps, but they still aren't basic maps that everyone knows. I say we limit the map choice to just the basic maps (maps that everyone has buying wolf).
*Depot is ruled out because it is unplayable in SW mode.

end this crap already and let me know when I start killing? Im hungry for some blood... is FF on? I hope so, I just hope I get no panzy freak on my team though...

~~~~
Mike, I disagree with you, you give me ONE night on a new map and I will get the hang of it, you already got the killing mastered... the only thing you need is to know where to go and all you gotta do is download the map, set up a personal server and play it by yourself to explore all the routes...
Tundra sucks :)
Sorry Mike, Tundra and Complex are in. You think everyone is familiar with all the basics, I have to disagree. I NEVER play tram and rarely play village. The S.S. server has been running the maps in question a great deal of time. I personally have seen ASH, ASB, GFU, and of course S.S. playing both tundra and complex. There are still 2 weeks until D-Day, plenty of time for anyone participating to come over to S.S. server and become familiar with these. It may be a moot point anyway, if no one chooses said maps.
Who was it that asked who is organizing this???? Isn't that dude paying attention? Just look at who's posting.... geez.
Sorry Tha, I shouldn't have been carrying on so much about Tundra, now we have two obscure maps that have been thrown in. LOL, if people actually choose these, they're going to have a huge advantage as many others won't know them and certainly won't have any strategies worked up for them.
I got Tundra mastered and have plenty of battle-tested strats which are available for a reasonable fee. Any takers? Now I have to go learn Complex, I still don't know how to get around in those freakin' hallways. :confused:
Ok I can pay you with Complex lessons then :) BTW I hate the new complex V.2 I HATE IT... tooooooooooo easy to short of a run, you might as well trade places, let axis spawn outside so that they can wait for allies to come out with docs...
I say Beach and Assault........everybody knows these fairly well. It might be boring, but this is a challange to see who stands out on top. What better way of finding out whose tops then by playing the maps we know the best. If you need a 3rd then I agree with Ice, Complex has been played by all the clans......
Alright, we've already come across a mutual agreement:) Let's not make it any more confusing:P:P :P Anyhow, how it looks, each team gets to chose their own map, and uses it during the whole tournament. We need to come across a deadline soon as to when to send in the roster and map of choice.
i think all same maps will be better for the first time... next time we can try with differend maps but i think it will only brings a lot of confusing...
It won't bring any confusion if the team only uses the same map for every match. It might cause confusion and trouble if each clan member doesn't have the maps in the line-up, but there's plenty of time to get it. I've thought about a few more suggestions to add to the settings. First off, {GFU} has set up its server to shrub, we can hold a few matches, and it can help get more matches in in a shorter time. The IP for it is 63.219.183.251:27964 . Give it a look sometime. I realized that having +salute on can change the game a little. Since both teams are not noobs and shouldn't block doors, I think that it might be okay to have it off for everyone. Also, I realized that throwing knives takes off a lot of damage. This is an add-on to the game that gives an unfair advantage to a player hiding somewhere with 5 knives. Also, Goombas, although this is a fun feature and is hard to do, it can cause damage and a disadvantage. Most people react to gun-fire and fight that way, but being in a position where an opposing team falls on top of you, and dying instantly, doesn't seem quite right. And, back to spawn times, the only instance we covered was an offensive team killing the whole defense. How I picture it, is if an offensive team wipes out a defense, and has about 3 people alive after the battle, they should have some sort of so called "peace" to make a run at the objective or whatsoever. With 15 second spawn times, the axis defense just comes down wiping them out. An offense can accomplish absolutely nothing. Let's say 6 allies go down radio stairway, and wipe out all of the axis in war room, they lose 2 people. So an allie offense gets the docs, and makes a run up the radiostairs, just to meet 6 axis up there...I don't know about you, but that is more frustrating than anything. Since there is less people, there shouldn't be as short as spawn times. This is my opinion on the matter anway.
aww man, i like the +salute its good for dragging your team out of fire. even if youre not a med. i dont just have it on to push people out of doorways.
goombas, i think are pretty rare. but people are getting better at them. i dont think its unfair...who the fuck am i dr.seuss?...eh. i usually just stomp on someones head and not kill them alot of the time.
i love throwing a knife for a kill...yet again not an easy thing to do in my opinion. i dont really do it when i have a gun.
i think all these extras are cool, and what make the servers here special. i really dont think youre going to have someone camping with knives or constantly hovering high above, looking for the goomba in a competitive setting.
Mike, I gotta' disagree with you on some stuff here. Seems like I'm disagreeing with a lot of people lately. Maybe it's my time of the month or something, I don't know. Anyway, the goomba stuff and the knife throwing, I'd toss them in the same class with poison needles. Yeah, it's a mod, but it probably won't have any effect on the outcome. Really, if an adversary wants to waste their time trying to attempt one of these things, they can go right ahead. I think it's an inefficient use of their time. If anything, it gives me an advantage. So, if it makes somebody happy, plus it helps me to kill them, I'm all for it. :D
I will agree with you on the salute feature however. That can have a major impact on the game. It effects how one carries the objective (on maps where the is one). And, more importantly, it effects the outcomes of 1v1 gun battles. There's a certain someone who shall remain nameless (S.S. LAZER!!) who has salute on permanently and he wins every gun battle against me whenever we're isolated in an enclosed environment (hallway, etc) because of it. Now, he is an incredibly good player 1v1 and would win the majority against me anyway, but the salute gives an unfair advantage. It will serve no purpose in the tourney so I don't see why we should have it on. That is, unless everyone really has a burning desire to slap me around that day.
Now, is there anything else that we can POSSIBLY discuss in regards to settings for the tourney? How about the use of soundpacks? Color of the sky perhaps? Banning the use of global chats so the Bukkake can't distract me with some crude joke?
