Well Aphid you are entitled to your opinion, but any active admin will tell you it does take time and often interrupts there fun and enjoyment. I am not saying they are saints, but there is more effort than what you seem to know of. Try playing when you have 10 people pming you . There is more to the job than most people think , and anyone who has ever been a decent admin on a server will attest to.

But at the end of the day all the ones complaining on here are all guilty of breaking the rules on the server and they all get kicked or banned for it, then cry about it. Im just asking people to stop and think once they calm down and realize they were in the wrong and to suck it up and accept there punishment

Admins enjoy their role and their power. It is not a "job" at all. They deserve and receive respect from me, except when they go out of their way to instigate problems. Everything else is unimportant and more out of frustration when I initially posted.

My point was that Pooty took liberty in his admin powers to piss me off so that he could punish me. I shouldn't have to get tk'ed on purpose and like it or risk getting banned. If it was up to me, I would just tk the guy back and be done with it. Yet, if I did that, I would get banned even further. Note: nothing at all happened to the player who originally started the problem. Bizarrely, I was the one that was warned.

I think the motives are clear and Pooty likes to target players that tend to be more skilled. It's the only way he can "stick it to us". I recognize that players may be frustrated if I happen to kill them more frequently then they may kill me. That is why I refrain from boasting. I am not here to belittle players or make anyone hate the game (or me). I am also not going to play below my ability and I don't think anyone would ask me to. I am just on the server to have fun and chat with friends on ventrilo while I play.

As for Gamb, nobody takes you seriously. At all. Nobody. Not one single person.

Yeah it's not a job. You don't get paid and when I go to work in my accounts department I don't have to deal with whiny fucktards cying incessantly because someone accidentally tked them then screaming abuse when they get caught doing their own deliberate tk to 'even the score'.

I don't know if some of you OSP guys have realised yet, but it's a game, it's supposed to be fun and not everyone that tks you is part of some malicious conspiracy to ruin your kill ratio and even if, by some hideously improbable accident of chance, they actually were... it still wouldn't matter.

I don't really play the game any more and that's got virtually nothing to do with the gameplay and almost everything to do with the non stop whinging. It's just not worth it.

Brace yourself for another rant from the n00b...

Almost anyone who plays on this server who is asked to be an admin would take the job in an instant. Even with all the hard work involved.

Some people would relish the opportunity for their own reasons. Pooty is pretty much selfless as an admin I'd say. He really does try to make everyone happy. Frequent map changes, attempts to balance the teams, and encourages fun for everyone. The guy's a great admin.

As for Pooty trying to "stick it" to "better" players -- oh c'mon. That's just silly. Ibid Parrot.

Skib, ftr, is a great player for sure - and great to play with. Always has good advice and friendly words when asked. I don't see him stack teams ever (often the opposite), and he he seems devoid of the deplorable excess of ego some of the other players here seem to have.

I'm not 100% sure of this leafy - I've seen mastery many of time pm me (and from what i've heard he does this to other players too) hateful messages right after we kill. IF we even begin to respond either pm or globally we are muted/kicked/banned and or all of the above.

On a separate note of his abuse, I one time i personally witnessed him, after getting sniped by banzai from sniper hill, slap banzai mid game (which made him fall to his death) and then when banzai responded with something like "grow up mastery" mastery kick banned him. Real good use of power.

Totally agree. Most nights its like the admin is running a Daycare full of tards. I think all the admins here do a good job of hiding the sharp objects and keeping Stang|Steel's diaper dry.

I remember the first night he and Damage|Anathema showed up. Their favorite OSP server was down "temporarily", and Stang came in the door bashing the server and screwing with everybody. Well the temporary shutdown turned out to be permanent, so now we're stuck with him night after night crying about how bad the server is and how there is no other place to go. Damage seems to be a decent guy until Stang singles someone out, then they tag team the guy until he leaves (Lt. Winters comes to mind, but there have been others.) There are lots of morons playing here, but Stang is the only one that I feel is actively trying to kill the server.

First: Pooty's a great admin, doesn't let anyone get away with any bullshit. He takes being an admin very seriously.

*There always seems to be some assclown who is stupid enough to state how much he hates the server. If I was an admin I would tell them to go to the other ONE and then ban them for a week while they think it over. If they continue to do it after the ban, then goodbye permanently.

I toasted a doc carrier on rocket because they were standing around trying to figure out where to take it to cap, meanwhile the other team (in which pootytang was playing on) was figuring out we were standing around, so I just wanted to cap it because I freaking _hate_ rocket.

I got banned a few steps from the transmitter ... .

When situations like this keep popping up I will openly TK you, (including a few seconds before the round ends, because tking people is fun when it doesn't matter like that). I may also TK you when you're blocking a door and revive you after---Most people are chill with things like this.

basically my argument is admins should have significant RTCW knowledge and experience to properly admin. To know when to not take the rules as an ABSOLUTE, and know when to bend them a little, especially when it doesn't matter, and ESPECIALLY when it isn't making anyone upset, (other than the egotistical admin). I like every other admin on the server... In fact I think I've only ever been banned by pootytang.

Maybe the guy grabbed the docs and wanted a chance to figure the shit out. He got to it first so let him have his chance. There is nothing at stake here, everyone should have a chance to fuck around and play the game and have fun. You seriously can't let someone try to figure out where to go? Do your own thing for a minute then have a run at it yourself. Only half of the players here will ever know how to play another map correctly and you have to be able to adjust to that. Why should everything revolve around you and what you want?

I was an admin for about three months (or more...I don't remember) a long time ago. The only reason I am not anymore is because I told Keekanoo to go to hell when he was the lead admin. I know what it is like on the server.

Personally, it didn't bother me when people were whining. I stuck to the kick/ban if they were tk'ing, blocking on purpose or using cheats. Worked well enough and I never got any complaints or threads started about me. There was players that would get in my way or not play to how I like to but I never overstepped my bounds. People would shit talk and it was good. It brought life to the server.

It's not a hard thing to do but unfortunately a lot of admins do go above and beyond that. Every little thing nowadays will get you muted, kicked and/or banned. All the admins are guilty of this recently aside from Squareballs and I don't recall anything to do with Savageparrot too. Most of the people who are kicked or banned are done so for ludicrous reasons now.

So no, being kicked or banned does not mean you are in the wrong. It means the admin did not like you that day for whatever reason they see fit. I've even seen you being the target of admin abuse and getting kicked for nothing. Are you saying you were wrong? I don't think so.
