Just because it can run on that doesn't mean it's going to run at a good steady fps. I have mine tweaked and it still has ugly fps drops when theres a lot going on on my screen. But its very playable. Now my main problem is my shitty mouse AND THAT DAMN MOUSE CORD lol.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's too many settings being changed, and not just video changes either. PB should have put an end to it years ago.
Keep EVERYONE on the same playing field..literally.
And please don't respond back with "You can have my cfg warpig", that's not my point. I don't want your cfg, I play FPS for the realism, if I'm not supposed to see you easily then that's the way it should be for EVERYONE.
Keep it to in-game menu changes only.

I really do understand what you're saying my man, but there are a lot of ppl here with modded cfgs that still aren't great shots, have no clue how to be a teamplayers, or whatever. Take me for instance ;P

Hmmmm... my GSP1000 is a heavy "mod" to my guitar signal. Doesn't make me play any better ;> Someone with a Fender Twin will have certain leg-ups on people playing through a Frontman15. Is this a kind of modding? I'm just trying to get you to think of it differently man. If only coz I feel bad for having a modded cfg now ;>

As for realism, it is more than made up for by the occasional kill of certain players in a fair fight ;> You know who you are... (I'm talking to you Sorry ;>)

I see your point Leafy, it's all legit, my problem is not with the individual player, it's with what I think goes overboard with setting controls. but I'm glad you see my point that this should have been controlled better and hopefully it will be in the new Wolf. Maybe if they controlled it better to begin with hacks wouldn't have been so abundant.

I've been discussing this for years when I first saw a demo vid that a very good wolfensteiner submitted at the TAO forum years ago, along with a lenghty descripition of Timenudge and all the other settings that could be changed. I was like WTF, do you think that this is fair to the casual gamer, no wonder they didn't stick around.
It sucks when you can't step off the boat without taking 3 luger shots to the head from an axis on the upper base. Servers emptied, game over. I'll admit it's nothing like it used to be when 75% of the players were pulling off ridiculous shit mainly because they passed around cfgs like it was candy on Halloween.
And I 've always told them all the same thing, including my =TAO= bros, "JUST PLAY THE FUCKING GAME".

I dont know who changes what and what they change. But it has always seemed to me that the ones that are really good are suspect of changing alot of the things your talking about. I change intensity and mapoverbrightbits and play. Always have. It also seems to me that the ones that have their game "tweaked" out have mouths on them...talking about how they rolled you etc...

I would suggest to the ones that are "tweaked" out to come down to my level and see how good you are. Surely at some point in these many years you all have just used your pistols in game when you have a gun on you just so you can get better with your pistol. So...now...just use default settings like me and see how good you can do. Maybe you play the same, maybe you will suck. Challenge yourself just as you no doubt have in the past by only using pistol. See if you can hang with the ones that dont "tweak". If you can then ill give you all the credit in the world but something tells me the desire to "win" outways the desire to see how good you "really" are, or atleast how good you can be at default.

I dont care what settings people use to be honest. I can mess with settings just like everyone else, its just a personal choice that i only mess with 2 and thats just because default is way to dark. My old pc i didnt even change these but my main pc makes it almost black. It sure makes me feel alot better than anyone else when i get accused of hax knowing that i only do intensity 4 mapoverbrightbits 4 and i use a thumball mouse. Not pointing at anyone but if you "great" players honestly think your great, come down to my level and make sure you are. What could it hurt other than your stats...ohh noes.

Like i say, you have every right to change everything you want within server rules. Im not bitching as i do believe anyone at anytime can be killed on the server regardless of how much they change. They have not made a setting to avoid being nade gibbed by me. This is just an observation and a challenge i throw out to some of you.

I don't think any of the players cheat to help their aim or visual acuity of players. I think they do legal tweaks that make shots spread less (probably not) and make them harder to hit (definitely)... There are players that when I shoot at point blank range the shots do not register. Thus the relentless "FAKE" I say at times. Is it bullshit yea, but hey, they beat me in a computer game.... O NO, I take it upon myself and try to be better.

Players shots are not that ridiculous or as you make them seem. Its not as bad as someone shooting 50% with 25hs% from tram bay to tram bay (tram)...

Yep...I don't think there is much cheating if any...if there is, they need better ones . You know, when I drop in earlier than normal and there is maybe 30+ playing, I'm not as good as when there are say 20 or less. That's one reason I have always liked late nights. My pc or connection sure likes those numbers better. Not to mention with those numbers I think you deffinitly get to see an individuals skill better and teamwork is more fun IMO.
