I love when flamers on the opposite team sit in the back stairs with it. It is so satisfying holding a grenade, waiting until you hear 4 clicks, turning around the corner, and nailing the flamer before he can move.
I never said anything about not liking flamers sitting there on my team. Although, I have to admit, I am not their biggest fan as I think it is kind of cheap. If they want to sit there it up to them though. However, you're somewhat missing the point. My post said I liked killing them and I said how I kill them. It's a satisfying kill as it is a cheap tactic. There was nothing more to the post than that.
Since you felt the need to bring it up, I know how to use a flamer just like I know how to use a panzer. I stopped using them when I learned how to play the game. Used to get lots of kills with those two weapons. However, I got bored after a while just sitting there shooting out the flames. Really no strategy to using them. I have moved onto the venom (rarely) and grenades. It's much more fun when you stop worrying about getting the most points in the round.
So anyways, try to justify using the flamer all you want. I really don't care much. I got a little bit of advice for you too, there is lots of good players on this server that you can't stop with a flamer. You should try and move up in the chain of weapons soon. If you do not, you'll end up waiting for respawn more than you'll be sitting on those back stairs racking up them points.

I guess I stand corrected aphid. I think you are totally correct about moving up the chain. I am finding that damn stairway boring and totally undefendable unless you have a good back-up team there. So, I have been tossing the flamer for other classes during my Axis phase, but I still love the power of the thing to move front lines back. I am rarely in that stairwell, just enough to allow teamates past, and them I am with them.
So, I have progressed past that now, and I see that you are right about that.
Thanks.
