Why am I a liar Aphid? Errr.... or do you mean Savant? We only recently got Team-speak for admins--certainly not at the time with the Redrum incident. I recall talking with someone via /pm about the situation, though can't remember who it was. I do remember whoever it was was the one who did the name search and discovered that Redrum was using Struckdown as an alternate name.

Racism isn't tolerated. Period. Anyone who wants me to support someone so quickly after they've made racist remarks is immediately not in my good books. Call me weird, but like drift to like.

What was the racist comment. I'd have said not posting it was a pretty clear way of shaping peoples perception.

Well I'm happy to say that I do in fact have the screenshots. Thats what I was looking at when I copied down the transcript. Don't worry, I have plenty of screenies and demos, just for when someone says "Nah, you're lying, the admins would never do that". I save the screenies because I know there are people like Trebor out there, who dismiss things they don't like to hear as "you must be distorting the truth", but believes whoever he wants to believe at face value, without proof.

If you would like the screenshots, feel free to pm me. They are not in jpg format, so cannot be posted here (unless someone tells me an easy way to convert...), but if enough people want it, I can post em on a separate site. Along with any other screenshots/demos people request.

Oh and btw...the reason why Redrum and Struckdown's name appear on each other's stats is because they know each other in real life. I have been on the server when both have been playing. And if you think they are the same person...why would Redrum be asking to get Struckdown unbanned? He loves that second alias of his so much, he has to beg to get it unbanned?

The conversation starts at the 7:50 mark, and he is kicked at 5:50, which means two minute elapse time. Judging from the World Chat transcript, I find it hard to believe that you two would carry on a full conversation in world chat, while simultaneously conversing in /pm. Maybe after the fact, but it doesn't change the reason why he was kicked. Most likely you were annoyed at his friend, and was itching to get rid of Redrum too.

Lets face it, Savant challenged for pics of admin abuse because he thought we didn't have any. I provided (sort of...I do have the screenies in TGA format, willing to send). I think most reasonable people would agree that kicking someone for politely (he compliments the server, isn't attacking or being offensive) asking his dumb friend to be unbanned is one example that admins are human and lose their cool too, like everyone else. I don't understand why people like Trebor find it so hard to believe.

Edit: Actually, I just saw Savant's post questioning the authenticity of my transcript. I will post them or convert them tonite, when I get home at 8 pst.

If you're intent on posting transcripts, why not post the thousands of elaborate, patient, careful treatment of thousands of offenders?

Nofx... we do get a lot of confirmed people who come in with dif't names pretending innocence and wondering why the admins were 'abusing' their friend. It's an old game.

Listen, I'm prelaw ----> almost to law school, and along my path I've studied loads of court procedures and taken part in a hell of a lot of mock trials. The fact of the matter is unless its the original, or something (copy) substantially the same/in the same condition as the original when it was drafted its considered b.s. And if my knowledge of the law and procedure blinds me from looking at it from a different view I apologize. Im not saying that youre a liar, I have nothing to back that claim. I could back through previous posts a bias which definately goes towards credibilty. But your credibility isnt the case here, im just saying if youre gonna post it, post something that is substantial. Its not my battle, but sure I would like to see these screenshots. trebornacnud@gmail.com

TGA files can be opened by quicktime. I find it a lot easier to take jpeg screenies though.

In response to Keekanoo...you're right, you (and the other admins) I would say at least 95% of the time treat people right. I was considering altering the transcript to hide names, but decided against it (the screenshots show the names anyways). I was posting this because Savant gave a challenge to post something showing admin abuse. Which I just happen to have quite a collection, saved over a long time of playing, and certainly does not represent anything I notice on a daily basis. If Savant wants, I can keep em coming too. Just ask.

Oh, and someone told me you can convert tga to jpg using Photoshop. I'll get that tomorow from a friend...so I don't need your email Trebor, I'll post the screenies right here.
