THANK YOU. I HAVE WORKED A LONG TIME FOR THAT AWARD.

So when you say flow of the game, do you mean how easy it is to get around people that just stand in doors .......

THEY ARE HELD ACOUNTABLE FOR BLOCKING AND OTHER RULE VIOLATIONS BY THE REGS AND ADMINS SO THEREFORE THOSE PEOPLE KEEP THE GAME FLOWING.
IS THAT PART OF THE "PROBLEM" ?

"or continually block your way or is it the people that don't know how to strafe jump?"

SEE THE ABOVE ANSWER - AND HOW ELSE IS ANY NOOB GOING TO LEARN BUT BY SEEING IT DONE? HOW ELSE ARE THEY OR ANYONE GOING TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY BY THE RULES OF THE SERVER? ARE SOME PLAYERS EXEMPT FROM THE RULES?

And by level of play do you mean the people that stand around spinning in circles shooting......

AS FAR AS I KNOW NOOBIES ARE WELCOMED AT ECGN-IF THEY LEARN THE RULES, ABIDE BY THE RULES AND IF THEY WANT TO SEE SOME GOOD PLAYERS THEN THIS IS A GOOD PLACE TO LEARN.

AND WHY DO THE GOOD PLAYERS KEEP COMING BACK? ?????

or the people that haven't found out what +movedown (crouch) does?

AGAIN SEE ABOVE.

You really got me laughing, though.

GOOD. BESIDES JUST BEING GOOD LOOKING I AM A SEMI-PROFFESIONAL COMEDIAN.

* NOTE:> IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.

It was for a tk/revive. i recall someone (no names mentioned) saying "we don't do that here".

sorry you don't know my aliases but i like to keep it that way. white names rule. and i don't feel any burden whatsoever, as a matter of fact i feel liberated. some people play with a (-) attitude, and i happen to belive you're one of them. it seems i am not alone in my opinion, but hey it's a game, ffs. if only all of you could be like miilitant. This is why you'd make such a good admin. So lets see here...You realize a player is doing absolutely nothing wrong (i knew he wasnt tkin on purpose) and you pm them to watch their fire? If you can't figure out the stupidity of this one on your own.../kill.

nice screenie, but id like you to explain to me instead how i was threatening to have you kicked? the script obviously shows me ssaying "have you kicked?"(yes that was a QUESTION MARK)how is asking a question threatening to have u kicked, esp since I am not an admin...also note the LoL, meaning there obviously was a lack of seriousness on the issue. the crying to your mom comment is quite funny actually...

That "LoL" means something, but not necessarily what you would like us to believe. You could have been laughing at his "cry to your mom?" statement, as you clearly stated how much you enjoyed that comment. No one really knows but you, and what are you most likely to do about it on this forum when being downgraded? Isn't this a mock trial? Maybe you'll be as good as this guy someday (see attachment).

Apparently, lawyers don't need 'attention to detail' as a prerequisite. Try jujubes next time instead of making up your fictitious theatre entertainment supplement. Now i'm just being mean.

Well, RTCW might not be the newest game on the block, but we're going down fighting :D

To clear some hazy issues up...

/kill is not kickable/bannable. Wish it was ;)

A tk-revive is allowed. It's never been clarified, and I've recieved numerous confused complaints about it. So, for the record, IF a person is LOW on health (don't make me put a defined number on it, but something 'roughly' below 20 shall we say) and IF the situation during combat requires a fast recovery, then it's ok. I've had people pm me that it's complete bs and shouldn't be allowed due to the fact that the Medic recharge bar is absurdly high on the beach--an argument which is valid imho. Still, it's a common practice all over the internet and I think not allowing it would cause a lot more griefs for admins and players in general.

However, this is not to say that gunning down a team-mate at full or close to full health to vent your anger on them and then giving them a passing revive is ok. It is not. This is treated as a malicious tk.

And for the record the admins go out of their way a lot to verify a problem area. If a complete noob who can't even walk is bleeding team-mates we try hard to stear them away from trouble. If needs be they get removed from the server. Honestly, I feel like a heel about it when that happens. I always see some poor kid, all bright and happy that he's finally got an internet connection suddenly looking at a blank screen with 'you're kicked' in the middle of it.

Now, on the other hand, if a reg is kicked, muted, putteam spec, temp-banned, or fully banned, then there is a history going on. Bleeding, tk'ing, blocking, etc on purpose ESPECIALLY by people who know what they're doing isn't tolerated. End of argument.

Just enjoy the Beach guys. ;)

1. Trebor: don't you think its strange that wo0t and sharpie would accuse you of something, and I just happen to have a screenshot backing it up? You can dismiss it by analyzing the punctuation or saying you were just kidding around...but the fact is, I said "what are you going to do about it?" and you said "have you kicked?". Illustrates what others were talking about. You can deny it all you want, but I think the fact is, you were caught, now hopefully you will be more aware and stop pretending you can (or have someone who can) kick/ban people for false reasons.

2. Savant: You said "For the record NOBODY gets kicked for /kill, knock off the disinformation, plz dont flame Treb/slaught".

I'm not sure who you are addressing exactly, but I'm guessing you're telling Trebor to stop spreading "the disinformation". I appreciate that, as its just kinda silly for people to make up fake server rules in an attempt to get people to change their playing style. Remember, the only game where /kill is not useful is OLTL :P
And I apologize if Trebor or Slaughter have taken my comments as "flames", that was certainly not my intent. I was only trying to criticize/support arguments-I don't think any of my comments were overtly offensive, and certainly not more so than anything they have typed.

3. Edogg: Yes, I do use /kill. Just look at the screenshot...someone asks who is using /kill, and I fully admit that it is me. I have no problem doing it. However, it seems like you are a little confused as to the reason why I do it. True, it gives an uber inflated kr. That screenshot is nothing, I'd say my average kr on axis panzering is about 20. I've gotten kr's of over 60. Do I see it as an accomplishment? Obviously not, as I have not posted any pics in the funnypics/achievements threads about it, nor do I discuss any kr's I have gotten using panzer /killing.

I do it to get as many kills as I can before time runs out, simple as that. Most of the time when I play, my goal is to cause as many deaths on the enemy team as possible, while helping my team get/defend the obj. If that requires /kill, basement defense (or camping as some of you call it), spawn killing, etc, then so be it.

4. Ok, and my forgetful friend has somehow lost her Photoshop cd. So, I've posted them on this other site, just right click it and 'save as'. You might be able to view them just clicking on them, but it didn't work for me, but feel free to try. Heres the site, it will be up for a few days, then I'm taking it down:

http://www-scf.usc.edu/~jonathyl/screenies.htm

You'll notice that my transcript was pretty much spot on. Savant asked for screenies, I provided, don't take it as a personal attack. Besides, I'm smart enough to realize that nothing will change, and so this whole discussion, while somewhat entertaining, is pretty much pointless.

5. On an semi-unrelated note, heres a question to one of the senior admins: Yesterday I was playing on allies, and there were about 20 secs left when we took the docs from a wr overrun with allies. At LEAST 75% of the axis were skulled (only 3-4 unskulled names on the scoreboard), and a noob soldier with an mp40 accidentally gets the docs. With 20 secs left, the noob (who had about half health) stood there for about 5 secs. He finally gets moving, and hits the short/long decision intersection in the basement...and decides to go long with 15 seconds left. Now, as he was running long, there were two people with him (the rest stayed in the wr for god knows what)...me and Savant. When the noob started running long, I started shooting him to INTENTIONALLY tk him so I could take the docs and run short, which actually had a very high chance of winning as the axis were almost entirely skulled. However, Savant kinda got in my way cuz he was hugging the doc carrier's ass, so I was unable to get more than 3 shots in on him before I realized he had almost reached the back stairs and there were only 7 secs left, so going short was hopeless now too.

Now my question is...are we allowed to tk the doc carrier if he decides to go long with 15 seconds left, and a skulled axis team? I was running the risk of getting banned for tking, but we probably could have won if he had helped me tk the doc carrier, instead of providing backup for a run that would never reach the upper base.

Also, another time, I had the docs, and was going long....there was a flamer on my team who was flaming into the radioroom enterance, which was exactly where I wanted to go. I waited for a few seconds, didn't see him killing enemies or hear flame screams...but he kept flaming, so I tk'ed him intentionally, and then transmitted the docs.

So, I was wondering if intentional tk'ing in certain critical situations to win the game is allowed? Or do you guys stand by the "no intentional tk'ing" to the letter, and rather lose a round than tk one idiot? If so, what would you do if someone took the docs and ran to sniper hill and went for a nice swim for 25 minutes? I feel kinda silly asking these questions, any other server I play on, the answer is obvious.

Ok, this post is too f'ing long, sorry about that.
