Yes, you're right. You're the only one here that knows how to strafe jump. That's a perfectly logical and reasonable statement, that you and you alone among the players remaining know this ancient secret technique.
Don't laugh too loud or you'll wake your parents.

True, and I can also hopscotch-jump/twist/bounce and the even more difficult JazzHands/flutter-kick/strafe. Ask me for a demo sometime.=CaK= YoShI wrote:Almost every people I know can strafe/circle jump.

Huggy you may know - but its not directed toward you, it's directed towards the nubs that complain about us being too good to possibly be legit, i.e. the haters. thx

This is hysterical almost as funny as that shitty larry king parody. what a waste of fucking time that was, gj.
One thing is for sure, if there were 10 other servers right now, you and source and a couple of others would only be playing on ONE.
If someone doesn't understand how this game runs by now, almost a decade later, ESPECIALLY ON THE SAME SERVER, then you're either the stupidest fuck walking or you're Skibb and Source's cousin and you believe everything they tell you.
FUCKING BULLSHIT
"more skill" < that right there is the funniest thing in this whole "war and peace" length topic...well that or the moronic strafe jump comment. Skill = shoots through walls?
Man I wish I lived close to you guys so you could sit at my pc and play a few matches. Let's see how much of your "skills" are actually your pc and not your hand eye coordination.
c'mon you know it's true.
and to all of your blow-buddies who feel the need to chime in and stick up for their pals;
LOL, suck my dick, you might as well since you're all a bunch of pussies anyway.
ah nevermind, nothing will ever change unless the server is sold. I'll just continue to kamikaze you guys with a nade in hand ...ALL FUCKING GAME LONG.
Just think of that headless dude in "Serious Sam". AHHHHHHHHHHHH..BOOOOM!!!

Source,
*You do not take damage the same way 99.9% of the other enemies I am facing and have faced for approx: 4-6 hours a day for the last 6 years.
*You still manage to make headshots even after I make it to cover, for some reason your bullets are not seeing the walls.
*too many instances of knowing EXACTLY when an enemy is rounding a corner. sure you can guess it some of the time...but NOBODY would be correct 100% of the time. It's simply impossible in this game.
A game that for the first year I was in TAO I logged between 8-12 hours a day playing. 4 times as much time as the nearest TAO player for that year. (the server kept track).
I understand this engine and EVERYTHING that it can and can't do. FFS I think I've ran the beach more than I walked in real life.
and just to the usual douchebags who come on and say "ah warpig you suck", Go fuck yourself. I've been in control of just about every game I've ever played with nothing more than an ancient 886mhz pc, an old ball mouse and a 100% stock cfg.
It's time to end the bullshit. Simple solution: Take a poll of the regulars who play everyday, name a player, F1 for bullshit, F2 for legit. I know for sure the server would lose 3-5 players. It ain't just me saying this shit, when players like Grom, Edge and a few others are calling bullshit...then it's bullshit.
Warpig, do you like sports? Here's an analogy you might be able to understand:
Think of the days of competitive Quakecon/CAL league RTCW as the NFL.
While the NFL was in session, you were a high school football player. I'm sure something like < 0.5% of high school football players play in the NFL. The NFL players are just more talented than you (aim, reaction time), mostly physically better (better computers), and smarter and more experienced than you (played at a higher level of competition, logged more hours of competitive play). It's not "impossible" or "defying logic" that a high school player went to play in the NFL.
Now your high school days are gone and you play in a just-for-fun flag football league (ECGN). However, there's a few guys who played in the NFL who still love to play football, but have since retired and there's no other league (server) to compete on, so ex-NFL players now also play in your flag football league.
ECGN is a comfort zone for a lot of players. It's fun. There's always players you can kill, regardless of your skill level. However, nobody is improving their skills by playing on ECGN. They aren't really diminishing their skills either. It's just a constant line on a graph. If you were thrown in an NFL game as a high school player, you would definitely improve your play. Would you ever make it in the league? Maybe not, but your skills would improve because you're having to adapt and learn to almost an entirely new game to the one you're comfortable with.
I understand it can be frustrating to play against your own level of competition, but have a few guys who seem impossible to beat; however, it is not "defying logic" or hacking.

Re: RTCW - The Harsh State Of Things
it mosty certainly is defying logic when you are being hit by bullets that 99.9% of all the other players you face can't hit you at because you're behind a WALL. The correct amount should be 100%.
This is all I'm concerned with, I don't know or care if it's hacks, scripts, mods, whatever..it still boils down to bullshit because the bullets should NOT be hitting you. FFS that's why I'm ducking behind the wall in the first place.
It's a pub and the endless hacking claims and chat fighting by nearly everyone I've come to know is beyond ridiculous. You would not believe how many regular very good players pm me during game that this guy or that guy is full of shit. BUT it's always the same suspects being mentioned. I take that for what it's worth.
It's a pub, set it up so the cfg can't be messed with beyond what a first day player of the game would have...and all of this bullshit would stop..and we'll see just how "skilled" you guys really are wouldn't we?
I think some if not all of them would drop down to Pop-Warner

So you've played this game how long and you still haven't figured out that hitboxes aren't limited to the player model that you see?
All configs do is make the lights brighter. It's one or two commands.

I agree it's really difficult to believe that a moving target is harder to hit than a non-moving target.

Shrub hitbox plus internet lag is the reason you can die behind a wall corner. The other night Ms B was sitting right on the hill in plain sight and I shot her with perfect aim over and over, and nothing happened (she got a kick out of that and said I sucked lol). I was shooting people at point blank unscoped and nothing happened. Some nights the connection seems perfect and I can't miss. Some nights I feel like I accidentally picked up Wohin's mauser.

Lots of people play with the lights on. But even the best teams are not playing night games.

Comment on Wohin is priceless.
Your major issue about crying hacks is that until all you angry cunts pile into one huge space and LAN, you will never see who is lying and who is crying. If you love the game, shove it and play on. Just be happy you aren't some sod like me that never got a hard copy with a clean cd key and have no way to kill you these days.
