Okay, let me see if I get this right.

A Person leaves because they think the administration is doing a poor job of maintaining a reasonable playing environment for RTCW players.

The response of one administrator is to say that if you don't play on the beach anymore then your opinion doesn't matter.

Following this logic, said administrator could kick/ban anyone that doesn't agree with said administration until the server is removed of any stronge minded player that expects a good playing experience. And since they have been ban! it follow that they "no longer play on the beach" so their opinion doesn't matter.

My opinion is that you will eventually piss off enough people that this server will be left to a select few administrators and handfuls of new players that the said administrators can own and pillage.

Eventually, you will conclude that the drop off in competitive play is due to the idea that RTCW is dying (a misjudged conclusion as it will actually be poor administration) and shut down the RTCW server on ECGN will be guaranteed.

When the RTCW server is shutdown you will no longer have a toy to admin and where will that leave you? I'm willing to guess that you are betting on the idea that the like-minded poor-quality administrators will get reassigned to games and you can continue to perpetuate this activity.

Somehow I doubt this behavior follows the business model of ECGN nor does it follow their investors/owner's/shareholders mindset of good publicity or public relations with the online gaming community.

A good admin (or bad admin) can make or break a gaming server. So far I see a few admins that are holding onto reasonable principles. But at the same time I see an overwhelming group of admins just being adolescent in their decisions and reactions. Unfortantely, human nature dictates we pay more attention to the bad than the good.

So being so petty as to tell someone their opinoin doesn't matter when they have stopped patronaging your server (yes patronage, without the gamers the server is no longer needed, aka the admins are no longer needed) is a bunch of "don't confuse me with the facts about how I am doing a bad job".

And that would be my soap box for this morning.

Oh one more thing....

Again, the little rude/crude/unprofessional 1 and 2 liners that the bad admins have already spouted off in this thread will surely be reiterated after this posting. The words may change but the ignorance will still remain. Remember, that you represent ECGN and you never know who has the ear of those of higher power than your immediate boss. It is neither beneficial or moneymaking for ECGN to provide a server that is not a 'good' example of how well their servers are maintained or administrated. Any lack of professionalism here reflects on them as well.

Yes Voodoo - perhaps. But I would like to allow myself room/space to be shocked in the event that an intelligent well formed response can be mustered by the low quality admins the comment is directed at. My suspision is that either A) they will not respond as they feel they have no reason to "care" about the perception of them or B) they will choose to attack me and my 'out of order' comments instead of responding to the content of my mesg, or C) they will remove the thread all together just because it showed how inept they really are.

Regardless, they read (or will read) it, and my peice will still have been said. And as I said before, you *never know* who is watching.

You expect too much from admins who feel offended from the word 'potatoe', even if it was supposed to be a joke.

well most people i know that are caught hacking get there ip and guid sent to PB so they cant join any servers that use PB. soooo... if ecgn has'nt put you on the PB perma ban list maybe they should think about it. oh the newest version has a hardware ban feature, which is really nice and makes the poor sap have to get new parts to play on PB servers. yet another option.

i dont understand why you think if your caught cheating that you should be treated nicely.
