mm G7 good mouse with G11. Like the others who bought Logitech stuff I say good deal
. Got those 2 for christmas and to top it off x 530 speakers 5.1 surround. Just need to get 4 channel snd crd now
.

Ultimate setup...
Razer Death Adder
Steel keys 6g Keyboard
Qpad CT or XTR mousepad
btw the exactmat is aluminum, thats not a good surface for any type of mouse, if you want the smooth feel get glass...
I'll probably be buying a new keyboard when steelkeys makes the fps gaming one, because the 6g is $100 :X they say the other should be $50 i beleive.

I checked up on the Steel Keys board, that looks rather nice.
I was then torn between this one :Keyboard
Both of these boards are around $75 if you search around.
Wouldn't be nice to have a gamer store that had this shit on display where you could go in, sit in front of a machine and actually test drive it?
Maybe if I'm good this year Santa will bring me one.

i know its aluminum.. idk if you've tried one out.. but its pretty gd smooth (i use the speed side, its smoother than the control side).. maybe its just me, but i do want a little friction btw the mouse and the pad.
and the "thats not a good surface for any type of mouse" comment is pure buffoonery and has no facts behind it.. do a little research, the exactmat is a good pad.
i think i've tried just about every 'gaming' mousepad out there... fUnc pads, steelpads, icemats, even your loved Qpads. exactmat and the fUnc pad was my 2 favorites.. but thats just my opinion i just settled on the exactmat b/c i had everything else from razer.. figure meh, might as well get that pad.
and F that steelkeys shiat. g15 or tarantula's the only way to go!
bottom line is.. if you blow, you blow. there's not a mouse/pad/keyboard combo in the world that'll make you instantly amazing or even a pub allstar...
you stay classy ecgn

Not amazing perhaps, but a good optical mouse and a nice mousemat DO make you a better player due to better tracking ability, faster respons etc etc etc.
It's the small things that makes a different 1on1. - Those fraction of a second to react and move mouse and aim.
So i guess you can play as good with a old shit low dpi mouse with a ball and your desktop as mousemat. As with a newer optical/laser mouse and a good mousemat? I don't buy that.
YOU just said above:"
makes all the difference in the world.
btw: i use a Logitech mx518 @800dpi, if i go higher dpi rtcw is not playable due to good compspecs. Sensitivity 1.1 atm, need <0.2 at higher dpi. eh.
Then a "sUrface competition mousemat" (1030 series). - got 2 uneek surfaces/sides.
found at http://www.func.net - got 22 awards, among those PCgamer Editors choice.
I had it for one year and one side is totally torn, so i switched side yesterday. Which is faster/slippier, and suddenly i shoot a lil better again.

the aluminum pads are loud as shit... I mean its loud enough you notice it, and with that noise you have a fair bit of friction too... Also people have said that many mice have had tracking problems on them, so I decided to stay away from them. I have an Icemat myself and honestly do not like it, just don't feel like spending $30 on another pad... Most people however just say that steelpad QCK+ is the best since its big and good tracking. Anyways person51, I've heard good things about logitech but a lil sketchy on the razer because it looks useless and people are saying that the usb ports or the mic/audio port didn't work either. Also that battle doc is just a waste unless you wanted a desk lamp or some weird thing like that for another $30. I say buy a decently cheap keyboard like myself since I get pissed and break them fast so no need to spend over $50 for me, however I will try the saitek after I get some money to order me a x2 4800+ and possible new ati cards when they are out...

your 1st paragraph is what i summed up by simply saying "it makes a world of difference" b/c im too lazy and have a total lack of care to type all that out.. but gjob.
and no, i cant play w/ a ballmouse etc better than i do w/ all the stuff i use now.. but i could still easily rage ecgn w/ a ballmouse (used to play on ballmouse all the time!)
i was simply saying if your a player with like 0.1 kr.. getting lazer gaming mouse, board, pad etc isnt gonna magically transform you into a 8 kr player.
and slaughter.. get a new mousepad man!!!!!! if anything, upgrade to at least a ratpadz!

I challenge any of you to play against Spitfire and tell me a mouse matters. He uses a two button ball mouse and wipes me from the sky in BFV with the jets. And I am using a Sidewinder two fight stick.
Plus he can hang on the ground (BFV or BF2). Of course with his hacks off it might be a different story.
I use a Microsoft five button optical mouse. I love it, big side buttons that are easy to find.

Would it make that much difference, I feel real smooth all ready with the resolution on the fly, no need to do a mouse sens, I really think my mouse pad is ok, i just think anything else would be toooo slippy

what brought me from a 0.1kr to at leased >2.0kr was a new graphics card and stuff to have constant/high fps. When I upgraded my mouse I moved up to the "hax" ladder and when I got my mousepad I got onto some servers "aimbot" ban lists.... It helps, and anyone can be good except those who do not try.

Do you give lessons? I've been playing for almost 5 years and trying hardcore (new mouse, new computer chair, new motherboard, gfx card) and still can't break that .5 kr barrier. If we could meet up sometime in a server, you teach me a few pointers, I'd greatly appreciate it.
