Please name one feature in OSP, but not in shrubmod, that would make it more appropriate choice for a pub.

Meds start with just 1 clip of ammo (this would def help out on improving the teamwork end of things)

[edit] Oh and not being able to block airstrikes so dam easliy (even with a dead body)---you make it so it takes 10 effin minutes to charge up your LT gage enough to throw one and then when you do its blocked half the time. You make it a challenge for an LT to even charge that high if hes giving ammo and shooting the enemies himself that you should make it a bit of a challenge for the enemy to block the airstrike.
Straight shooting panzers would also be more pub/nub friendly

Liquid go back to lurking with the homos on Smokeherb it is what you did best, you always talk loads of shit without any proof whatsoever and Paco reading the credits on the OSP web does not mean squat, ever heard of having a falling out? that is how we got pbbans, from a falling out.

At the end of the day this server is still going and will continue to go on without clowns like you. If you like OSP so much pony up some dough and make your own server.

And don't use the crap that its the only place to play as the reason it is busy. While most of the OSP servers were in there glory days and when they were dying off this server continued to be busy. It will not miss you when you are gone.

I played when both mods came out and as I recall Shrub was being used long before OSP , in fact correct me if I am wrong but if I recall correctly OSP was not used by the leagues until late 2003?

yes but way too deadly to the enemy.
Plus being able to correctly arc a long distance shot is half of the fun.

Yes...becuase name colors are sooo important to the gameplay.

So, what you have left here is:
Colored crosshairs, more name colors, and built-in enemy spawn timer.

I don't think these 'features' mean a whole lot to overall gameplay for a pub. The rest are all options that are configurable in shrubmod.

what the hell does that mean?? Never in my life have i seen that glitchy shit on an osp server. That is probably the number one thing i have against shrub too.

And I know those are configurable in shrub - I am merely stating what features osp has that I would like to see in shrub.

The fuck is Smokeherb? I have never played on that server in my life. You don't know me kid. I have played on Texas Stopwatch, Doctors Operating Room, Locked Box among others.

OSP was implemented into the game early in 2002. It was THE mod to play, period. This game was already competitively dead by late 2003. Your idea of it first being used late 2003 is laughable. Try again son. I didn't even touch Shrub until i came back years later and all the OSP servers were gone.

Gamb what I know about OSP I know for a fucking fact. I have been here since day one and have talked to a|rhea personally, the creator of the mod. Nobody is blindly copying facts from the OSP site. I know tenfold more about this game than you. You are wrong. Just shut the fuck up.

Aside from what skibb mentioned, you can turn off CROSSHAIR PULSING and BLOODFLASH (annoying red shit when you are hit). These are the features I miss the most.

OSP is better overall, BUT for a server like ECGN, Shrub is better. I'm not telling you to put OSP on the server. That was never my point or intention. The lack of antilag makes high ping extremely difficult to play with and the majority of the server population wouldn't be able to handle most of the differences. I respect that ECGN has been around a long time and is still here.

My point is Gamb you have no clue whatsoever in what you are talking about.

These are the main issues on your server in my opinion:

Newcomer Axis always spawns in forward bunker. Why is this not fixable?

Swimming players

Pulsing crosshairs are annoying and makes it harder to aim

Poison needles, goombas and arcing panzer shots are stupid imo but that's your choice

Need forced map rotation like a crackhead needs a crack hit

Server randomly resets in the middle of a round. I have heard you run the server, the stats and the Ventrilo all off the same box. Not a good idea

Sometimes I get randomly kicked for TKs/Suicides even though I haven't done any. Picks the wrong player slot I guess

Never nailed down the cause of this...possibly player count issue/shove/water revive/unlag..not sure...Never saw or played on a 64-player OSP server. I guess the others we can experiment with...

Guess it depends on what crosshair you're using. Never made any difference to me and it certainly doesn't seem to affect the aim of the better players.

there were a dozen great teams after that timeframe that would not approve or agree with that statement

i'd really like the colored crosshair and cg_bloodflash to be able to turn off.

the crosshair pulse annoying thing is likely for players, like me, who use a small little dot

i wouldn't mind the swimmy guys if i knew where to shoot. is a headshot down at the penis area, where the actual head is?

what about the shrub grenade glitch? when you kill a dude and his nade goes off on the 1st click, or the 3rd, or the 4th...
