Ticks, I don't like the campers that disconnect as soon as the teams change to allies. I get angry when I see them saying "yoohoo!" like they are the best players on the server because they can hit you with a panzer.

Also, I agree with Nofx. It is so thrilling to win on allies when they have a good panzer defense (none in War Room mind you as that is a bad defense). Oh and also when one of them win and continuously press, in this sequence on the keyboard, V, 5, 6.

Also, Aphid is my hero.

I actually get angry messages from people after a good round of trench attacking panzer action. Its usually before they disconnect too. I must be doing something right, if I make the game so unpleasant for the other team, they leave the game angry =D And often times, its commenting on how I'm a noob with no skill. What these people don't realize is...I play on 24/7 beach for fun (and its a damn fun server), not to display mad l33t pwnage skills to everyone. If you are looking for a kickass, fun server with cool people, then play on 64 player...but maybe youre in the wrong place if you feel the need to whine about someone who is attacking the trenches.

There's nothing lower than someone who says something, then immediately signs off. That's the sign of a truly angry, immature creep.

Sometimes everyone feels like a panzer magnet, and getting panzed 5 consequtive times coming out of allied spawn in the trenches is INDEED frustrating.... but there are those odd times you sneak by the panzer and knife the back of his neck in deep, deep satisfaction.

I think panzers ARE a good addition to the game. Like ticks said.... its really handy when your team falls behind and someone that knows what they're doing grabs one to clear up the basement path or something.....panzers do provide a fighting chance sometimes... and i think that is the most important function of them in the game...

...But I must say that from my own witnessed experiences, it isn't always the opposing team that finds the panzers annoying. I've seen on more than many occassions, a panzer sitting RIGHT where the action is (say...a doorway or something), denying anyone else on his team some play in the area whilst taking everything out he can while the players behind him scramble around trying to get in on the action and play....and if one from the crowd falls in front of the panzer...you never hear the end of their bitching about it.

...or how about when you're spawning from allied trenches....and you're one of 5 + fortunate people to be behind a panzer as he waddles out the front bunker....then STOPS on the stairs to look around and aim as an axis throws a nade into the bunker and everyone cracks heads trying to move out of the way....which is an unsuccessful result.

I've found that in the basement and trenches...one of the most frustrating things is being behind a panzer while you're trying to hustle ass on out of the line of fire...and the traffic is congested beyond belief.

I know there are retards everywhere in the game that the good players aren't reponsible for....but they also like to run to the big boy weapon's for kicks.

Dont get me wrong... I think flamethrowers, venoms and panzers have excellent purposes in the game.... But unfortunately I see the things I've mentioned often.... and teams turn into people picking up panzers because they're point whores, or the rest of the team doesn't really get to get in on the fun and action, etc, etc. I think panzers are great in the right hands.... but maybe some of these things would happen less often if we had less panzers. We already have flamethrowers and venoms.

It goes beyond the losing team's whining....it isn't necessarily about "whining" if a team that had an avid panzer won, its more about moderation.

...just another perspective.

I hate to be long-winded here, because I know many people gloss over endless paragraphs of text and form their own opinion, instead of actually reading what people say.

I'll admit getting wasted by some lazy-ass panzer camping in the war room is lame, and frustrates me to no end...BUT grabbing a panzer and looking to waste large groups of the enemy is fun!! I always try to get the most amount of kills per shot that I can. It doesn't work out that way every time, but I'm at least trying.

The panzer limit of 3 is a decent compromise, although is easily overcome by people spawning with a panzer and dropping it for other people to pick up.

I like the mix of different weapons. To make the Beach Server a MP40/Thompson only server would be a mistake. The greatest fun on playing there is the constant non-stop action, the need to be able to adapt to varying conditions and situations and the thrill of pulling off the miraculous due to the complete chaos and frenetic action.

The server is fine the way it is. Each side has an equal chance of winning depending on the skill level of either side (there is an objective in this game, remember!!). Occassionally a stacked team will dominate play on either end, but that can't be stopped.

I agree the server is fine the way it is. If you are a good player you will get people complaining about you because you are killing them all the time. I hate it when I am getting panzed all the time in a game but is usually because more of the better players are on the other side (stacked team) and the noobs have all the panzers on my team and wont give them up.

Last night, I can't even remember who it was but two panzers sat in war room almost the whole game which they seemed to be switching shifts. Actually, you'd either find them in War Room or on Radio Stairs. Then they had the brains to cheer their kills and to say what great teamwork their team did. Now I am not an overly big fan of panzers and tolerate them for the most part (aside from panzer blockers). However, when they cheer on their single panzer kills is what gets me. It's like are you that pathetic and that poor of a player that you get happy when you kill one person with a panzer?

Oh and Fig Tree is not included in this cause he is :cool:
