The only thing about being an admin that's hard is the
fuck-tarts that make it hard. Other than the otherworldly population of morons... there is nothing hard about it. Admins are there to ensure that the game remains the best possible situation for everyone connected.

Yes... we do have trouble makers... all the time. Unfortunate, but true.

Yes... In most cases, an admin (IMO) will deal with the situation to the best of their capabilities, and to the best of their knowledge.

Yes... people will always complain about admin abuse. That will never stop. As long as there is that "otherworldly" population of morons.

Yes... Sometimes admin abuse does happen. Admins can only do the best they can. Admins are human beings.... humans make mistakes.

Admins deal with every situation accordingly, and answer it the best they can. We look into every complaint that is either PM'ed to us, or publicly displayed. We do have alot to deal with, and we wouldn't be admins if we couldn't deal with it.

Do I like Bea$t?? Yes, he and I go way back in terms of wolf.

Do I think he should be unbanned?? I can't really say since I was not present when this whole situation occured. As far as I know he was given a second shot. Due to the screenshots taken by Keek... I would have to say no to an unban.

I know that Bea$t has brothers.... do the rest of the admins?

Possibly, or they could just be thinking "He's just saying that to get the ban lifted." That would be my first thought.... if I didn't know Bea$t. I refuse to get anymore involved in this situation because I don't know the facts.

But... no. Being an admin is not hard.

I respectfully disagee. When dealing with difficult players I would think that it would be a "pain in the ass"--- and I will change my statment hard to at times difficult.

I did not know that is was not a commitment for any admin on a ECGN server. I stand corrected.

I based my ignorant assumptions via a friend of mine [who is an admin for another server] who misses mutual events, that we would like to participate in together.

He feels a strong "commitment" to maintain a level of play on that server.

That "commitment" is self imposed. He also has stated that it would be "very difficult" on a larger server to be an admin. I read that as "hard". I believe my translation was not word for word.

I agree totaly 100% with that. My BS / brown nosing detector is fairly sensitive and I do not like it either.

If you are refering to anything that I have said let me state this;

I am not interested in gaining favor with anybody. I could not explain the depth and lack of concern of whether anybody likes me or not.

As a matter of fact every posting of mine has a small tweek in it based on someone elses posting a few weeks ago. But who cares? I guess I could get kicked for making a stupid bit of attempted "humor" last this long. So what.

And on a 63 +1 server, the amount of stupidity rises.

Unchecked it will get worse.

Unwatched it turns into that penguin bullshit that goes on over there.

I see people on the server getting banned right away. I don't think thats very fair. Kicked yes but banned no.

When the admins deal with people and tell them to stop this or that I would appreciate it if they spoke to these people with there /pm method.

You are assuming that the decision is based soley on one event. In 90% of cases there is a history.

The sheet isn't wiped clean at the end of everyday. If I kick a guy for blocking one day then see him doing it a gain a week later I am not gonna start the process of asking him to stop all over. He will get a punishment proportionately larger than the one he got the last time.

In addition if you are not the guy who is banned there really isn't any way to tell if pms have been used. I talk to most of the people i have troubles with almost soley through pms using global only when i am pressed for time. On occasion I will ban without warning if I see really really malicious rule breaking, but that has to be really quite bad.

No just sometimes I see an admin saying something like don't block ____ whoever. Like they just like throwing there power around and letting everyone know. As if we didn't know. So I was just saying they could use the pm/method. Not all admins....
