Nofx, if you were following aegis who has a ping of 193 in this demo you are not going to see the same thing that aegis sees unless your ping is in fact 193. i dont know what your ping was (its says 193 but thats cause youre following) but you will see a player's position on the map according to your ping, not aegis's ping, even if you are specing him. that is how anti-lag works.

SavageParrot, i saw you say in game you wanted to see a demo of a silo hack in action, here is one. this is actually silo playing(under name x eight). watch his accuracy in the console, 56-66%. but i dont think it looks anything like what aegis looks like in the demos.

http://s87888773.onlinehome.us/silohacker.zip
(dont bother watching the second one, its nothing)

aegis, i dont know if you cheat or not, but i do know it sucks to get hung out to dry with such minimal evidance. i often get called a hack in game and there is not much you can do about it. i record everytime i play cause i dont really wanna get banned over somone's gut feeling that there is somthing "fishy" about the way i play.

i just dont think these demos really show anything, if there is anything more solid please upload. as far as the cdKey goes, why dont you just buy one cheapo. i did, it lasted me 4 years.

Let me say first off that out of all the demos I've watched of Aegis, I didn't see any evidence he was hacking. I just didn't.

But when I get complaints almost daily from other players on the server, something has to be done.

Honestly I'm just tired of listening to it. That and the fact that he is using a STOLEN cd-key made me to decide to ban. I also googled around and banned around a dozen other cd-keys I've found posted on the net.

I'm pretty disappointed that because I banned him everyone (including my admins) jumped on him as if it were proof that he was hacking. I hate how everyone has to throw their 2 cents in it. Its just stupid.

That's why I rarely get involved in these nonsene posts. Move along people, nothing to see here.

Don't make more assumptions than the minimum needed (Occam's Razor).

Recently, I watched two people log off the server in disgust after insisting that everyone else must be hacking. One went so far as to say that people must be turning the hacks on and off real quick, so punkbuster doesn't catch them. I suppose it's possible, but is it really likely? Or is it something else?

Folks, guess what. The reason you're standing there with your pants around your ankles, waiting for a medic or the revive timer, has a lot less to do with some nefarious hack than your own skills, or lack thereof. And I say this as an entirely average player myself. But it's amazing what a bad-ass anyone with a half-decent ping and a good frame rate can be if you focus -- really focus -- and do the things everyone tells you to: Crouch when you fire. Aim for the head. Strafe. I'm such a relentless whore for running in the docs, I enjoy just throwing myself into mad scrims, and usually ending up dead, over and over again, as a result. That's how most of us play. But ever notice how the top players tend to hang back, pick good hiding spots, and just drop people left and right? There's a reason their kill count is so high, and it's rarely because they cheat.

Just a thought.

my final words:

I cant discuss with Nofx about the demo that he posted. Neither I have knowlagdge about, what is the perspective of recorded demo, how anti-lag works, nor I have any recorded demos from my side to compare. If someone knows more about that part of game mechanics I would appriciate if he would explain that. As far, I can remember some situations in which my bullets flying, from my perspective, with latency hited enemy that just hide himself.
However as I understand Nofx, in his description of bullets nos. 25 & 24 he claims that my rounds either change their trajectory in flight or they go through wall. - correct me, but I have always thought that part of game's mechinics (that would be objects trajectory computing and collision detection) was always on the server side. At least in any client-server multiplayer 3d game. And as so aimbots work by altering aiming point. To alter mechanics that I mentioned before hack for server itself would be needed. Again if anyone is competent in that matter
please correct me.

Now, about MAN-AT-ARMS:

If he doesnt want me to apear on ECGN server even with a new, just bought copy of RTCW, let it be.
I can understand that, it's his server, and if he says that I create too much problems for him. I will obey and thus never again apear on ECGN.
What I try to archive by all these posts and my and your used time, is not to play again on ECGN but the name of the cheater to be removed from my person. Accusation that for me, with my knowladge of what I ever have installed on my PC and how I behaved - absolutely unjust.

Twitch, he's using a CDkey that he found on the internet.. The cdkey with a player with the name aegis was caught using the silo hack. THe file mhconfig.ini was found in his wolf directory which is part of the installation of this aimbot. The only defense he has is I'm using a CDkey thats on the internet and anyone can use it. Now, out of everyone who would even bother to get a CDkey off the internet, how many of them would use Aegis as a name?

I've never accused you of wall hacking, ever. The fact is you have a body bot. Its not my fault everyone doesn't have the experience I have when it comes to seeing hacks in action. When you have a lag ping like Aegis, you won't see everything he does and in fact you see very little movement compared to what he is really doing. The only way to put this matter to rest would be to actually catch the hack on his machine again while he was on this machine.

If you don't want these kinds of problems in the future MAN-AT-ARMS, I'd suggest you subscribe to the MBL and start using the MD5tool to search for hack files on the peoples machines while they play. You'll catch them yourself and feel better about why they are banned.

Bman,
Could you post detailed information where according to you, player with my former GUID and nickname aegis was found to be using any hacks. Your first massage in this thread with 2 such informations describe someone from Montreal, Canada - not from Poland.

The other information I go on Aegis, is if you watch these demos, and slow them down as people have suggested. Watch where the bullets land. Watch with your blood splatter on so you ca see which bullets hit and which don't.

When you fire in wolf, the more bullets you fire, the more spread out they will be (if fired by holding down the fire key). This means the more he fires, the less he should land. As you watch any of these demos keep that in mind. As you watch, notice where the bullets land, the percent that hit vs miss and if the acc is always very high there may be something fishy going on. In Aegis' case, he says he's an expert, yet he firest at the waist alot. He has 180 ping and has some of the best accuracy on the server. He's using an internet CDKey. all these things add up to a hacker's way of life. Todays hacks are very hard to track and trace to an individual. Overseas for example, I know people in canada that use the RIPE system (Where Aegis says he plays now) and vice versa. I'll ban their IP on my server just to have them come back on another ISP. The ISP that Aegis says he uses now actually has over 20 different GUIDS that have been banned from that ISP alone for using hacks. Now I'm not saying all of these are him, what I am saying is this ISP is notorious for being used by hackers.

Aegis, when it comes to overseas and looking up where their ISP is.. all it tells me is where the Location of their home office is. It has nothing to do with the actual location of the user of the ISP.

Aegis, come jump on Ganja so all the checks for hacks can run on your system. That way we'll have a new thread to talk about :)

Ganja? if there is a way to scan my system and monitor my play, without a need to install webcam and additional DSL line to make a small reality show, I am first to participate in this, just tell my how.

About ISP:
what is RIPE?
my ISP is FUTURO POLAND, you say that there are 20 banned GUIDs from that ISP its hard for me to belive that, also I am not sure do they even offer their services outside Warsaw, so how could someone with that ISP could in any way connect from Canada?

You guys are getting way to technical with all this stuff. Hows about you let Aegis and the admins on beach handle this through private messages, stop confusing me! :D
