An interesting question that defies a simple answer. (At least from me.) For all that ECGN gets bashed for being a newb server, there are a lot of good players that are on regularly. I guess that players can be judged in a variety of ways. To start, in terms of overall value to the team, I think of it like this:

-Mission-
- -
- -Shooters
-
Support-

Even if you hand out 200 ammo packs or kill 100 people it doesn't much matter unless your team wins the round. Most folks fall in between two of the categories. Pure shooters and pure supporters facilitate a win, but do not run the docs, blow the walls, etc. and thus can't really be considered for best overall player regardless of their individual statistics.

Additionally being able to play a variety of classes at a high level would be a prerequisite for the BOP award. This removes many one class wonders, most notabley the eternal medics, who do not switch classes for any reason. ( I think these guys should form a clan.. I suggest ADM.. Another Damn Medic. Sorta like the SAS guys. :) )

Another elimintating factor would be playing all parts of the map. This would exclude people that tend to play most of their game in specific areas. Doc room campers, super snipers, and upper base backragers (like me :p ) wouldn't qualify to be BOPed either.

With all that in mind I submit a few names:

-tt-Ch1ck
Blastowitz
Starsky HOT (belive it or not)
MrB
=TAO=Thunder (particularly given his ping)

There are others I could probably add, but these players seem to fit the total map-mission-multiclass profile that would qualify someone as a true BOPer.

Ch1cky owns. I veto starsky hot on account of he was banned 8 or more times for tking the doc runner so he could get points. No team work there...

lol nice post, I only read half of it...:P

Yup most people think Ecgn is a "noob" server because of all the tk's and noob blocking. I mean wow...arrive around its peak between 6-9 and yeah it's laggy as hell and with all the door blocking idiots, totally makes game play frustrating. For the most part though Ecgn is a great server with a lot of different variations of competition coming in and out. Plus whoever came up with the idea of a 64 person server was brilliant. It's definitely a lot of fun.:) Except for when u start to play too much and well you pretty much know what happens after that.:P

On Ganja guys have around 11 percent hs and that's on there map rotation. They drump me really fast on there considering the lag and all but still they have awesome players. And yets, mister Kal-el with a hs ratio of 18% hs ratio. Give me a break. Plus fX is notorious for hackers.

well said jono.

what wierds me out is that these "1337" players leave for a month or two, when they sucked so bad. they come back and all of a sudden they have hs accuracies of 15-19. get real. Ive watched myself get better, and the people on the server get better. it doesn't happen over night either. you cant say that just by playing other servers for 2 months you come back with a hs accuracy of 18 and a kr of 5....bull shit.
