The ID rep on the Wolfenstein boards said that ID might set up an OSP server soon. So we will see.

They'll say a lot of shit. None of it will matter in the end because they care about the bottom line.
Making a game in the RTCW style = a great game with a loyal fanbase.
Making a game in the Call of Duty style = a mediocre game with tons of potential new buyers, along with the loyal fanbase that would buy it anyway.

I don't know what you mean by any of that, at least in how it pertains to what I said.
I just meant they might put up an RtCW OSP server because everyone over on the Wolfenstein boards were talking about getting a server up and going and the ID rep said that it shouldn't be a problem for ID to host it.

My point was i'd be surprised if they actually host a server for RTCW. I'd also be surprised if they listened to any of the important changes that players are suggesting.

Like Twitch said, according to admins at wolfenstein.com, they are planning to host as OSP server for RTCW soon. You can check the boards there.
As for the latter part of your post, you're right. Very unlikely the new game will be generated from user feedback and/or resemble RTCW. Not like that's breaking news or anything.

The fact that they are planning to host doesn't mean it's going to get any players, anyone can host an empty server...

The question now is, what day would you guys want to set community games for? Obviously with the server up people could get in whenever, but it'd be nice to have a time where we could all get on and play together. Also, keep in mind that the 360 board's Community Night is Sunday @ 8:00 PM EST so I'd like to have it on a different day & time. Otherwise I won't be able to play.
That being said, you guys are free to play without me if that day and time works best for you.
Also, right now the settings for the player slots are 16 public, 4 private -- that cool with you guys?
