Beach adopts 2-panzer limit

Mike suddenly hates me.

It sucks getting wasted by a panzer OR an air strike, but the air strikes were non-stop and never-ending. There were NO LIMITS on LTs! There have always been limits on panzers.

Very rarely would I spawn and get wasted by a panzer, over and over. Often, however, I'd be gibbed by an air strike over and over and over (one time 17 straight spawns in a row).

This will definitely affect game play, and for those of you PURISTS hoping it will lead to "more gun battles", I think you'll be sorely disappointed.

ok, heres my opinion on the subject:

(remember, stats are perm, so this is not per round)
-there should be a 'points' system
-kills are points
-no nades until 50 kills
-no snipers until 300 kills
-no Panzer until 1000 kills
-no flamer until 1500 kills

a system such as this would:
1) most likely get rid of newbie panzers
2) reward 'regulars' for playing
3) will relate in some sort of 'skill'
4) will help cut back on door blocking panzer shots


now for LT charge:
i believe u should spawn with 2 ammo packs of charge
1) this would help with the ammo at spawn problems for giving LTs
2) would save 15 seconds of waiting time

Panzer: i Believe that for every 7 players on a team , 1 panzer should be added
1) Would put an even ratio between players and panzers
2) Should prevent so that its not 8v8 (late night early mornings) with 4 of those players being panzers.

this is just my view on this subject

It's unfortunate, Zog, that you arn't checking out the game dynamics, else you'd know that gun-battles have been extremely intense and on-going now. No longer do 8 guys get into a skirmish with each other to have a faust jock or a faust noob blow them to smithereens. It's pure hellish gun-fights.

And thanks for thanking, me Zog, but I don't make decisions for the server based on my own selfish inclinations. Perhaps that's something you don't like about the server these days. I kept track of all the polls going on (go and have a look for yourself--they all tell the same thing) and I kept track of what people talked about in the game. All of it pointed to the majority of people desiring a reduction in the fausts.

The constant use of the expression 'watering down' is an elitist bully tactic which, without actual stats and majority support just sounds like.... wait for it....'whining'.

Really, I don't want to get into a pissing match about this. I approached Boc to make the changes after TEN MONTHS of people bitching about the fausts. Zog, this isn't my server or your server. This server is owned by Boc and is run for the public to enjoy the game, and hopefully entice some of them to get rent their own server space from ECGN. Any decisions I make or consult about represent the majority.

Personally? I'd remove the faust entirely, reduce venoms to 2 per side, reduce medic recharge and....well, a lot of other things.

What kills me in this thread is the amount of people bitching about the changes who rarely play at the Beach anymore. Put in 3 hours a day, every day, for 2 months then you'll have fair grounds to kavetch.

you guys have good points. i realize noobs shouldnt panzer but someone will panzer noob or regular, so unless we ban panzers for good there will always be panzers. and its not like its a clan server so whats it matter in the end? anyways i guess it has to be fair to everyone. so i will probably venom from now on because i love hearing people bitch about camping and crap but thats just it, its part of the game and people have the right to say what ever they want. most people dont bitch, the only time they do is out of frustration wich i dont blame them. it is hard trying to play the game and win and get panzered and venomed time after time but its just something we deal with. and about people not playing beach bitching well thats a bit iffy because i used to play for over 5 hours a day every day over the summer, but theres this thing we all have to do its called high school, and some of us have jobs, kids, home work, and just shit we have to do. if you are playing a different game and bitching about something you dont play then theres really no point unless you are just too busy to play and you try to play when you have the time to.

Its hard to make the game enjoyable for everyone but if this change makes the majority of the people happy then I am happy. As long as we dont limit venoms lol. I think the game is sort of the best for everyone right now so no more complaining about the weapons for a couple months ok, hahahaha.

Although I dont see Zog play on beach much he has as much right as any of us to bitch about 24/7 beach. Some others who dont play it shouldnt really say anything only cause it may offend beach players or cause more chaos and fights between us Bitchen beach players . Thats what we are known for bitching

You Pseudo-purists who think the game is for guns only, are so high on your own BO you're not making sense.

Keek, the server is yours more than mine...you play there more than me. You've tweaked and molded it into a guns-only server, which is fine. You're the one off proclaiming your headshot proficiency after every round while your team gets spanked.

There's no better way to make your skills more apparent than taking away the other weapons from other players.

Just do this; remove all the other weapons except the mp40 or Thompson. Turn it into a headshot only server for all I care. Remove goombas, poison kills...anything that makes it fun for people

LMAO Zog....your points are so funny yet they seem so true but would Keek do such a thing for himself and not think of others first. I know the announcements of kills/headshots after every round is a new trend but I think its just a competition between friends is all.

Can you please cut down on the witty better-than-you comments, and please point out facts. Keekanoo said nothing of the sort about the server "being his" more than yours. He said that, for someone who hardly plays on the 24/7 beach, you sure have a lot of smartellic remarks to make on these forums. When keek and I give our hs after each round, it's just all in fun. The sarcasm i see in everyone of your posts is to the point where I can hardly stand it. You keep on going on with these extreme no panzers no goombas, anything that is fun...and we are not doing any of those. I'm not saying Keek did this solely for himself. I know there are hoards of these Purist "Headshot" specialists on the server now. Keek doesn't have this switch he throws to make instant changes. He talks to Boc on a regular basis and I'm sure he drops a few strong hints.

What I'm accusing Keek of is falsely reporting the feelings of most of the players on the server, or belittling those who oppose his ideals (nothing new).

I guess fun isn't in the Beach 24-7 recipe anymore. It's a stomping-ground for the PC police and the so-called Purists.

I'm sure they'll all look down on us poor fun-seeking individuals. I'll be in awe of their headshot prowess and woe my poor skills, which are now apperently useless.

what excactly are the dynamics u speak of ,keek?? isnt the point to move some docs to the radio room?? i do this often when i play , so have no timeto kill. if given the choice of busting thru the lines and having a wild west shootananny ... i choose to run. grab docs and run. i played there for a complete year before most of u peeps even showed up , and remember the hard times. the " hey woman toss me a zanex , im heading to the beach days" times. them was the good old days.like zog says if u want to make it gun battles remove all weapons but the guns and turn headshots on only. that will be a thing to see.

Zog I say you and all the other originals of the beach come back on a set date and just venom, panzer, and block some doors with me. It'd be a hootin-tootin grand old time. How bout a reunion of all the old beach players. Radram good point, the main point of beach is transmitting the docs, and while doing this its hard to kill people when you blow by them, theres no point in stopping and trying to kill them cause then thered be 15 more nazis shooting your ass so the only thing to do is RUN , or hide on sniper hill .
