Halo 2

This game is supposed to be pretty huge... I think it comes out Nov. 9th officially or something.... I got a bit of a *sneak peak* though.... and its CRAZY. Im not that huge of a fan of the game anyway.... but they definitely have some cool weapons additions. If any of you know of the first one where the pistol is pretty lethal, they've decreased its strength, as well as added a few new tweaks to make the needler a better weapon, and they've added a SWORD, which I must say, is DAMN cool. It takes the enemy out in one slice, but its only good for close combat. I tried the multiplayer on x-box...slayer maps are a little bit crazy, but as for single player it seems to be quite a bit more challenging.... it looks like enemys have quite a few more options for attack.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the sword...that sounds cool. The melee attack in Halo was always one of my favorite moves...one hit kill if you get them in the back.

You know Siren I was just going to PM you and ask if your boyfriend was still holed up with the game. I was wondering if it would be worth the money to get for my kids for Christmas. My oldest says he wants it but I think I might wait until next year when it's half the price. I'm too cheap....lol....

ah, come on arkaine get it for them this xMas. It's the biggest game that's gonna be for xbox this season and it's probably the most anticipated game for it this year. Personally though, i'm waiting for it to surface on PC. But for now, i'll just play the custom maps for Halo CE, soon they'll have all the mods working for it perfectly.

He's definitely still loving that game..... he loves the second one so much he took off 2 days vacation so he can finish the single player version of Halo 2. Its pretty cool, arkaine, and at the very least it provides you with an electronic kid-locater (you'll always know where they are).

The original (Halo) is pretty well done. I hope they didn't "Doom3" Halo2.

Thanks for the info Siren. I know they were really into Halo for a while but I don't really know how far they really got as far as levels went. I'm sure it was nowhere near the end of the game. They are probably just a little too young to justice to the game. I'll have to think about it some more.

So, has he been playing it in French too. That is the only thing that sucks, but yes, Halo 2 is , inho at the top of the best console games ever. At least the best fps console game ever. The lighting is awesome, they sped everthing up, all the vechicles have turbo now. Totally cool.

Hey.... quick question if anyone here knows... Is Halo 2 the exact same maps on the PC version and the x box version? I know that RTCW was a bit different on x box than computer...

...that said... are the multiplayer maps the exact same? If not, anyway you can find the exact ones? Im not sure how Halo on PC works.

It does suck ass...... but I'm planning on becoming a closet-master at it to humiliate my boyfriend. No...lol... im half joking..... I think the single player sucks, but I dont mind the multiplayer.

I bought Halo2 for my little cretins for Christmas. Turns out my oldest actually did finish all the levels in Halo and since it's the only thing that he consistently says he wants for Christmas I thought I better get it for him.

Good luck Siren becoming the closet-master. I've done that before with games my husband played and it's so sweet to lie thru ones teeth and so "no dear I haven't been practicing I just must be a natural at it or you must suck.":)

Halo 2 isn't on PC yet. Give it a good year or 2 and it will probably come out. There are, however, groups of modders out there converting halo 2 MP maps for Halo Custom Edition-- a revamped version of Halo PC, created for better multiplayer gameplay and ability to run custom maps. The bad thing is not enough people ever played halo CE so Gearbox didn't support it with much needed patches
