I use a wheel mouse for aiming I thought it was the best thing, now I'm not so sure. I recently had a scirmism or two with some chaps who possesed an uncanny aim and began wondering what everyone uses to aim with. Well?

Aim High

I use Microsoft's Intellimouse Explorer. It's optical (not wireless) and I love it!!!:) I use the right click for moving, just hold it down and move. The left is set up for shooting weapons, needles, med packs....etc. My wheel on the mouse is set forward for needles, backward for med packs, and if you push it down(considered the 5th button on the mouse), it gives me my grenades! :P There are 2 more buttons on the left side of the mouse. My right thumb rest on rear one of the 2, for getting my primary weapon back. RTCW does not currently reconize the forward button! I use the mouse a lot and it works great.:D

i use the same mouse as aim. it worked great except now it doesnt. I think after 6 months of using it in rtcw, it has finally given up on me. ive tried uninstalling it and reinstalling, and ive tried putting it in different usb ports, but it still gives me the same problems. I guess im going to get a new mouse. should i get the same kind or not? any suggestions?

I havea microsoft errr normal opitcal mouse...it just has 2 buttons...and scroll wheel.. I use left click for fire, right click for zoom in and Teamspeak...I just center click for reload...and the scroll zooms in and out..it also changes weaons...but I never use it ne more. I use 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 for my weapons...and I use Q to change to pistol if AUTO RELAODE OFF is an option. I use E and D for forward and backward...S and F for strafe left and right. I use A to walk, and P to drop weapon. I use K to kill, and M to limbo. I use f5 through f10 to respawn as engy, to MEDIC. I use I to do the s_stop thing. And B for bino's.

I use this neat little program that I downloaded called "Aim Hack". It makes it so that you can never miss. It's helped me a lot in the way I play. I've heard of people having trouble getting it working though. Something about saying the server kicks them? Who knows. Anyways, I am sure it is just a bug in the code and will be fixed soon! I am kidding...

I just use some Logitech wireless mouse. It seems to do the job. I'd like to try out an optical one though. I hear they are pretty good.

Same as Aim... also using a Nostromo game pad for those super-fast weapon switching..

I'm using a Logitech wireless optical mouse and I really love it. Very precise and very quick (yes I know you can change sensitivity). Personally, I prefer it over the Microsoft as it seems to have a lot less friction on the desktop and fits into my hand better. I'm sure that's just a personal thing though. Two complaints about it though. The first is that it goes through a pair of batteries every month if I use it a lot. However, the new Logitechs have rechargeable bases so I guess that problem is fixed. The other problem is that every fifth or sixth time that I send one flying across the room into a wall at roughly the same speed as a Roger Clemons fastball, it breaks. Shoddy craftsmanship I'm sure ;) . I'm currently on my third one. Darn temper.

Oh yeah, it's also starting to wear the surface off the top of my desk. Darn Wolfenstein :D

I stick with my logtech. got left for fire, right for shove, and middle for playdead. Dont know the binding setting for the thumb button yet, or I would set that for hide under the bed and whimper like a coward.

I use microsoft optical mouse with 2 button and scroll (high sensitivity for quick movement). I don't have my setup fully configured to my satisfaction, but it will do for now, at least until I figure out what I want to do next.

Q - push
C - drop weapon
] - s_stop
* - jpeg scrnsht

I bound these two to team speak - it pisses me off when someone tells the enemy which way the docs are going.
I - "going long"
O - "going short"

And for the noobs:
P - "stop doorblocking"
N - "only shows top 32 scores"

I still haven't decide what to do with the mouse2 button...
