A Few Items.... ATTN. TOURNY

Postby iceman41 » Wed Feb 19, 2003 5:04 pm

Just a few things I need for help planning....

A) IT WILL BE 7 V 7.... Rosters can contain as many as needed, BUT YOU CAN ONLY PLAY FOR ONE TEAM. This is why we need rosters turned in. I've noticed several of you are on more than one of said clans. YOU WILL HAVE TO DECIDE WHO YOU ARE PLAYING WITH, CAN'T DO BOTH.

B) Need to know which clans are putting in multiple teams, right now S.S. will be entering two teams. I need an idea so that I can decide on tournament format. 7 teams or less we will do round robin (everyone play everyone once). If it looks like we will have more than 7 we will have to go to double elimination (this will actually save A LOT of time, but each team wont know exactly what time they play in advance because game times will depend on match results).

C) Do we want map choices to be known in advance? I'm leaning towards yes so that everyone can get the most enjoyment out of the day. Do we want map choices for each team to remain the same throughout the tourny for each team? Example- S.S. Elite company chooses beach and complex, therefore every game plays beach and complex. Again I'm leaning toward yes, to make it easier on everyone.

Ice, everything sounds great. I think that we should use the same map for each team throughout the whole tourney. I think we should also bump up the date in which each clan has to turn in a roster and a map that they are playing.

I thnk yes to both of your questions.

We also need to decide which maps are eligible for selection.

We can only play for one clan? Man, that's harsh. Tell you what, whichever clan out there let's me lead a squad (don't care if they've ever even played Wolf before) across the Tundra map gets me. Not sure if that's a threat or a promise but there it is.

I'm just whining because I can't play for both S.S. and {GFU}. And, to top it off, I don't think either of them are going to be playing on Tundra (if the map is even allowed). Bah:mad:

Boo, the answer to that sir is YES! As a matter of fact, I think I'll start another thread on it as soon as I'm done here.

Wick, apparently you like Tundra. Don't worry, it's eligible.

Here's the list: Beach, Complex, Sub, Assault, Base, Tundra, Castle, Tram, Village.

we have to have answers on time slots, WEF is a european clan and so is part of ASH, so If you are one of these groups we need a slot adjustment for these guys.

Just pointing this out so there can be concessions on the early slots for the wars...

Although you guys make great points on which maps to use. I am going to have to disagree with you. I understand all of the other maps excluding tundra and complex. These include the basic maps that are made by ID and which everyone has. However, I feel that some clans will be at a great disadvantage, as they might/will not be familiar with complex and tundra. These maps are only known by a few of us. It would be unfair and too big of an advantage against those who don't have these two maps already. I also feel that there is not enough time for a clan to get these maps mastered. It is unfair to clans who have not been playing these maps (not knowing about it, just not playing it because they don't have it), opposed to those who are.

this is an insult on our clan why do you say wef is a part of us we have nothing to do with wef

we are not an european clan its not because we have couple of european members that you have to tell uss were a euro clan our american members don't like that.

ss has also a member from belgium my brother so i will call ss an euro clan just because you have a member from europ

no hard feelings but don't do it again

Lol, silver, settle. He just said, correctly I might add, that part of your clan was European. That's not an insult, it's a fact. He's trying to be sensitive to their needs. You know Pie, he's all about sensitivity.
