Crappy Sky

Postby Killer Mike » Mon Feb 24, 2003 7:31 pm

Alright, on the map Axis Complex, I've been having a huge problem with the sky lately. It looks like portions of the map, or whatever, and it's blurred oddly. It screws up a lot of things, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix it. /vid_restart doesn't work, restarting game doesn't work, restarting pc doesn't work. It's an on and off appearance. Many other players in my clan also experience this problem. I've tried redownloading the map, and everything. Just can't seem to keep it fixed permananently. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas on how to fix it, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hey mike I know you mess with your graphics settings all the time...try loading up the game in normal settings and back track from there...almost sure its your graphics changes that are doing it

It can't be my graphic settings because others in my clans also have this problem. They have their settings on normal and it still has this prob. Thanks ...I still might give it a shot.

HOLY **** , for starters! Need more info on what videocard your using, where did you get your version of this map? I play this map to on S.S. server too never seen this before. The third person down from the top of the player list is a buddy of mine from work named "Tully", I'll ask him if he's had any problems with this map! O.K.

mike set your graphics back to recommended or default, and see what happens. if that works then you should be able to set your graphics back the way u had them. I know because that same problem happened to me on beach, and i tried everything short of reinstalling the game. resetting my settings was the last thing i did before it was fixed, so i think thats what fixed it.

i've the same problem but lots worse on beach... all parts of the ground get stuck in the sky etc... don't know how to describe it ;) but i have it on beach... on the oc48 server...

but i don't care, i'm already used to it... its only very difficuled to shoot someone on sniperhill when i go sniper-poisoning ;) cause sky is one mess that i can't see him anymore... but that's the only prob... ;)

Could be your system overheating...

Actually I have seen the same phenomenon before. It was a rainy night in the southern New Mexico desert July 16, 1945. I remember I was leaning up against this concrete bunker enjoying a hostess honey bun and then whammo everything got fucked up. Wow does that pic bring back memories.

Yeah really, it looks like the video card or the rest of your system is saying "HEY THIS SHIT BURNS, TURN ME THE F*CK OFF! "

Nah, it's not my system overheating. I don't have the best specs on my pc, but they're good enough to run wolf, especially on the settings I put it at. My CPU usually stays around 110 degrees, so it's not that. Probably something to do w/ map and graphic settings.
