hi all

is it just me..or did the price to rent a server..just went UP BY A DOLLAR...?????? A SLOT?????

Yes we raised them from $3 to $4. The $3 per slot was a promotional price. If you look around though, you'll see that $4 per slot is still less than what other companies offer.

just out of curiosity was that "promotional" price ever mentioned before the merger? that just seems like a big jump. the minimum server size is 16, so that means you are getting at least 16 bucks more per month per rtcw server.
i dont rent a server but i would be pretty pissed if my bill was raised 20 bucks a month and i had no prior notice.

According to East Coast Gaming, they've got the lowest price in town.

I didn't take the time to read the notice, but if they price match, you're still not going to save that much money, lol.

Here's a tip Hitpoint...there's an edit key on posts...

Second, 1 dollar makes a big difference. For {gfu}, we don't have a lot of slots, so 16 dollars is the extra fee per month we're paying. That still is a lot if your spending money is limited, however, for s.s. especially, this news here means 32 dollars more a month. That does make a difference.

well tht sucks even more...we were about to rent a server..but now for a dollar more a month..NOPE i dont think so..we had troubl raising it as is..lol

and NO your not the cheapest anymore

Yeah! You sure showed him! How dare they try and rent servers out and make money! They're all going to hell.

Not sure if you are familiar with this statement but you get what you pay for. When I have looked at their Technical Support forum, they reply to questions within minutes. Seems like they are fairly committed to having satisfied customers. I'd gladly spend that extra dollar per person for support like that.

This isn't a kiss reply by the way. I am just wondering what you hoped to accomplish by trying to throw this in their faces on a public board? I hate when people seem to think they have a say in these types of situations. Don't like the price? Don't rent a server from them. It's that simple.

and i agree..always look for the cheapest with the best stuff.....but going up a dollar a SLOT is A LOT of MONEY...

dont u think..and offcours they gotta make money servers dont come cheap.....but going up a dollar a slot..is a BIG what do i say a HUGH raise in cost..the server went up 30% in price or something..(srry havent slept in 24 hours)..

i think oc cuts in hes own fingers with this..the bigger servers are going to trim down the number of people and the little servers are gonna dissapear...not more profit but the same only less people tht rent and more cost....is what i think..........and i hope i can still say what i think........
because our clan is takling about getting a server and now the price went up by 25% or so..tht is a hugh hole in the buget......

Not at all. We have no idea how much it actually costs them to have the servers up and running. For all we know, they could have only been making a few dollars with their previous rate.

I suspect they set up their pricing plans thinking that all the clan members are going to pitch in money for the server. Now if you are paying for the server entirely yourself, that is a big cost increase. However, if the whole clan pays for the server, is one, two, or even three dollars more out of your pocket per month (?) that much?

Well if you must know, even with the price raise we've gotten more orders than ever.

Keep in mind though Ironman, that you get what you pay for.

Back in my clan days we used to rent from AOWC and IlanGame, and we had to wait 2-3 days to hear back for support issues, and when we finally heard back, they wouldnt be fixed.

Our support is literally second to none, so your also paying for us to sit around waiting for you to break your server so we can fix it
