Cannot post on certain forum

Hey all, I am new to these forums and unable to reply to a thread in the "been banned?" forum, any reason for this?

You don't have admin rights to replay. You can look but aren't allowed to replay to them.

That is odd, because others without admin rights have posted in that forum.

If you're the banee, you can reply to your own thread that you start in those forums. Otherwise, you can only look.

Believe me, I'd know.

Sometimes, a baned player will post in the wrong forum. If there is not an admin around to move it to the banned forum, other people will post replies. When it does get moved, all of the replies go along with it.

I am not the one banned but one of my war squad members is...well two of them actually. As far as I know Bones is supposedly banned for having 2 GUID and I am here writing on his behalf because no one really seems to respond to him. To make things clear, Bones and his brother share 1 computer. Bones and his brother are both on my war squad and both come into our ventrilo server. It is clear, proven, and obvious that they are 2 different people. The 2 GUIDs are necessary, for they are 2 different people and need 1 for each individual person. When they join TWL both cannot use the same GUID, it is forbidden. By banning Bones you have also punished another player, Shiv, who has done nothing wrong.

I strongly believe this is more personal than anything, if this is the case then whoever has a grudge on Bones please speak so now.

The first time I felt there was something personal against Bones was in ECG Network beach 24/7 on a late afternoon last week. Bones was being specced by admins, and I was playing along side of him. I realized Bones was being watched, and I told him in w:c ventrilo “Bones, Mrs.B is after you”. The admins also publicized it, and made clear they were watching Bones. After watching a while, they finally left but things did not end there. Why didn’t it? Why are you trying to find a reason to bann Bones? If you couldn’t bann him for hacking then the next best thing would be for having 2 GUIDs? To me this is petty and I strongly believe that the person that was up to this bann was looking for ANY reason.

Think about it, do you think its coincidence that the person that got Bones bann from ECGN was the same person who kicked him from WTH several times? It is obvious Mrs.B can’t stand the guy, and if he didn’t have 2 GUIDs then he would have been banned for something else I guarantee.

If you don’t have proof, then don’t accuse please especially in public. If you are banning people for 2 or more GUID, then get ready to start banning more people on ECGN because I know for a fact there are others out there who have more than 1 GUID yet still play in ECGN everyday.

The only thing I can think of that Bones did wrong was mouthing off to an admin. I spoke to Bones and made it clear to him that this is not tolerated. And I would have banned him aswell, just not permanently. When I spoke to the admin ( Slaughter I believe ) that banned Bones the first time he said he unbanned him and that all was forgotten.

But someone took it a mile futher…

Consider the bann please, for it is unjust. Bones and his brother have nothing to hide and always use their tags proud aswell as myself.

As far as I know he was banned for being an ass. His brothers cd got banned with the wording '2nd cd key' as well because he used it to get around the original ban to play on the server again, it's standard practice. However it will generally add about a month on any ban because it'll get you off the server ban list and onto the pb ban list.

Assuming that the ban in place is still for being an ass (and I think it is) an apology to slaughter would probably grease the wheels toward getting unbanned. If it was my brother getting me banned I'd also recommend a nice firm slap upside his head and maybe a mild ass whupin'...

Of course there are those that think coming here and pleading innocence of hacking speaks of a guilty conscience but I'm not gonna comment on that

Actually, it was the spamming the server for 10 minutes trying to get on that earned him a place on the Punkbuster ban list, otherwise the ban woulda prolly only been for a few days.

Don't even have admin atm and i'm being blamed for the ban. Need to check your facts before you accuse people, Adle. No one responded to Bones because he already knows why he was banned. He was told the minute he joined back up under a new key. It was no ones fault but his own that his brother was banned with him. No one told him to use his brothers key. I think it's cute you w:c people come to another member defense, but check your facts before posting. Thnx

It does seem that W:C is on the unban bones now kick, but there are many, many reasons why bones is banned, See all above.....thread closed

Sorry to barge in here, but it always seems like multiple GUIDs boils down to "it was so-and-so's brother/roommate."

In this case it's actually true but in most cases it's a lame attempt to wriggle out of their punishment.
