its alive and kicking, come on in and play a few

just do a server search, usually about 30+ playing at any particular time

Lots of good, big games usually going on around 9-11 p.m. Eastern US time. Things tend to slow down by midnight or later, though, but that's common for this time of year.

Jumped on around midnight central time; played one round, then the few people left petered out and the server emptied. Still had a game left in me, so I went to Happy Penguin (I'M NOT PROUD!) ... where there was all of ten people, and a bunch of HP regulars in spec saying, "wtf, where is everyone?" I'd never seen HP that empty before. Spooky!

Every year I think "shit, this is the summer that Wolf finally dies" and then everyone goes back to school in the fall and the server has 20, 30, and 40 person games all night.

I'm still playing here...isn't that reason enough to come back?

Hi Guys!

Nice to see the beach is still breathing (destructor is still around).
I was gone for a year or so too. Cant wait to see more old buddies in the trenches and make new ones too.

I've been on HP a lot as of late...

Just ends up being more people to shoot in the face consistently than ECGN...

I used to avoid the server, even as a last resort I would've rather stopped playing than go to non-stop panzering service... However, someone wised up and limited the shit to two per team, and with a huge ass map such as depot, they can still be avoided.

Main problem that remains is getting that many peeps doing teamwork; It's difficult for just one person to win it all, as opposed to beach..

I guess I need to start checking back to ECGN, if in fact its still populated..

Well beach is a non-stop cc fest so it's hardly surprising.

Personally I'd like to see a rotation and maybe even turn friendly fire back off. Anything that is gonna make it more fun and less predictable really.

These days I mostly play CoD.

It's just dull playing the same map over and over with the same people camping the same corners (lately with nades not even guns which is uberghey) whoring for a KR that no-one but them cares about anyway and basically dragging the gameplay down.

I hear that. You'll be breaking your balls trying to defend the war room only to tap out and watch a guy who is happily camping a corner miles from the action and watching his own stats.

The settings we have now are good for skillful gameplay but I've got to the stage where I'd just rather have fun and getting nade cced by 5 guys in a row just isn't fun.

I say bring the amateurism, bring the fun!

I did bf2 till they patched me out of the game. Every patch they every made just made it harder to run the game on borderline systems like mine. It got to the stage when All I could do was snipe because I had to stay in the open any movement caused me to lag and going into buildings would send me off the chart. Such a shame because in demo that game was great.
