A new system already? When was your last built, two years ago? And what's with all the hard drives? Did you take them from your previous built or are they new. Still don't understand you need so much hard drives for that porn of yours, don't you ever get tired of it?

My new build is scheduled for December, three years after the last one. This will make number 4.

haha!!! gotta keep it fresh! its around 2 years since the last build, this one was gonna be done around feb next year but my psu blowing up forced me to make a descision! do it now or wait ages for a psu to put in a system that is possibly screwed! so i thought i would upgrade now!
as for the drives i have a huge collection of movies! not all porn

im allready upgrading the system! gonna get 2 hard drive fans and another 2gb of ram so i can play games on vista using directx 10 when i get a compatible card! the ram came down by almost £20 so i will grab some while its in stock!

I don‘t know the prices in the UK but you must be spending quite a fair amount of money on those PCs of yours. I guess thing go well at the office, still working shifts?
I have noticed you are planning to dual boot XP and Vista. I can’t say my personal experiences with Vista are that fantastic to consider to make the switch. I also don't understand why they made everything slightly different again. Each time you when you can find your way around blindfolded it seems that some ass thinks it’s funny to change things, not to mention hardware and software compatibility.

still working shifts but it pays the bills so can't complain!
as for the cost of pc's it all depends, i built my media centre recently for under £400 but this pc even with re-using dvd-rw, hhd's, gpu from the old pc i have still spent out almost £1000 and i am going to get a new graphics card so add £300-400 on top of that!

the other 2gb of ram arrives tuesday and so does my xfi soundcard and my new razer deathadder mouse!

as for vista im only installing it because of directx 10 and i won a copy of vista ultimate from microsoft so i may aswell use it!

next thing apart from a new graphics card will be a raptor drive most likely!

£1400 for a case and bowels.

And 4 GB RAM what are you going to do with it, plan a flight to Mars? I didn’t know you was also working for NASA. I guess someone has to tell you thus it might as well be me, I’m afraid you are a comp geek.

£1400 for the system is pretty cheap with everything i have in there, i have added alot of extras this time round like a decent sound card and a new 7.1 surround sound system! plus a new printer and new mouse, things i didn't really need to upgrade but did anyway!
4GB of ram is because of vista! if you intend playing games on vista at any kind of level you really need 4GB as vista is a ram hog. I will be using xp pro mainly but when i get a directx 10 card i will be playing all my directx 10 games on vista as directx 10 is not supported under xp. i have 12 games pre-ordered and one of them is "CRYSIS"... that should be enough said on why i am installing vista!

as for other dx10 games i have or am getting there is:
bioshock
alan wake
call of duty 4
hellgate: london
there are probably more but these are the ones i know are dx10.
