Wireless Network Adapter

Postby Sorry » Sun Sep 16, 2007 8:56 pm

Hi,

I have a trendnet :sniper: 20 dollar piece of shit usb wireless network

adapter that I use on my WOLF laptop and it is constantly disconnecting.

The router seems fine.

Anybody got any helpful pointers on how to solve this problem?

Or should I just go out and spend some serious cash on a linksys/dlink wireless

card? What card should I get ? Please anyone help me out here:flame:

Thanks for the replies. I contacted the manufacturer and they said that they will RMA it and I am going to send it back to them. I have decided to buy a Linksys USB wireless card which is the best value for money atm.

@ Savageparrot, I wish I could hook up a cat6/cat5 but the router is in the living room downstairs and its impossible to get the cable to come into my room.

There is no impossible task when you have the right power tools.

I can Agree on that! Myself have drilled a hol to the basement where my modem is.!

A while ago my brother lived in house next to me and we had 100m cable with no problem so anything is possible if you want.
