What the hell is in the war room?

Postby aphid » Tue Apr 08, 2003 2:13 am

For some reason almost all the allies are afraid to go in the war room. I can't understand it. The best way, in my opinion, to win is to keep the pressure on in the war room. It works the majority of the time when people do it. It works because the axis do not have time to respawn to get back down there. They just run out of players. However, try and convince your team to do that. They stand by the backstairs like it is some safe haven where they cannot be killed. It really bugs me when flamers do this. They can do some serious damage if they just go in the war room and start spraying fire all over . Yet, they never do it. Numerous times I have tried to get past the cluster of allies only to be killed from an axis panzer coming from back stairs. Even when you sort of convince them to go in, they'll take one step forward, two steps back, two steps forward, three steps back, and then die.

So who does this and please say why you do it? I just want to figure out what reasons players do that. It's driving me insane. :)

there are a lot of players on the server that find it normal that the axis always wins with 25.00 minutes on the clock...

too much players don't play to win (or not very) but just to stay alive and kill other players... you can see that when docs are talking: there come about only 5 axis guarding radio room (i once was alone) but they still win cause with the allies there's only a few that really just go to take those docs in but reather kill some axis ... on a useless place...
and also, if doc carrier waits 3-4 minutes all the axis just go back to warroom or trenches like if docs aren't taken at all...

i only know for sure that unknownplayer never does this, i always see him guarding radio stairs or long way if docs are taken...

I here ya aphid, don't understand what those idiots are thinking. What, are they afraid of running out of lives?

When that gets so bad you can't even get past the dummies on the stairs to attack, I try to go someplace else... to me it's better to fight and die to get down the radio stairs than deal with that shit....

it´s true that allies people stay on backstairs and basement most of the time,, and don´t stay on war room ,cos there is two waypoints where the axis could come,( backstairs and radio stairs)and get fragged easily, personally I don´t use neither staying on backstairs nor staying on war room, i prefer get the docs and get my ass out the place.

When I saw this thread it made me wonder yesterday if this was true and last evening there some fellows in the stair cases keeping the door open, but I noticed a bunch of players running for the roses last evening. Guess the message must have gotten out! :)
