Hey fellas. Been a hot minute since I've seen/talked to most of you. Hopefully I'll get the chance to pub up some rtcw/shrub this weekend.

Anyways, I wanted to to put the word out that rtcw2 (Wolfenstein) is coming out this summer. There are a lot of old players and players from ET that are hanging out on MIRC.... catching up, telling lies, and spreading any news as they get it about the new wolfenstein.

That's probably why you've seen an increase in players lately on your server, so check out what's going on and go to:

yes i have noticed some more players on ecgn recently.

since a lot of older players are coming back, admins would it be feasible to get a map rotation going on the server instead of waiting for an admin all the time?

usually the only people that want all beach are noobs, no offense to anyone. but having all the regular wolf maps would be a good thing for those who are coming back and want to brush up on their wolf skills for the sequel coming in summer. beach is a great map but there are other maps just as good and a lot of people are sick to death of beach.

I'm likely the newbest regular player here [color=DarkSlateGray](think about it - heheheheh)[/color] and even I'm sick of all beach. I can't imagine you people who have been at this game for seven+ years having to play only beach for the last few.

Set up a Beach-mapx-Beach-mapy etc. rotation, please? Course I've also been here long enough to know that the chances of that happening are, shall-we-say, minimal. Nonetheless, please think about it MAA. Start another ECGN server even... whatever.

I B back too. installed it last night from an old ripped version with my real cd key and it works fine...so far. :D

rotation was tried, never worked here, peeps come here to play beach, we admins try to change, put biggest and largest influx of peeps are loaded on beach.....and as for wolf 2, I have this fear that it will never live up to the hype, once that butchered it with ET, I can only imagine all the crap that is going to be in there

Wolf 1 works, its simple, its easy to get kills, and fun to play even for a newbie, ET was 50 percent as popular and died faster, number one reason, team play not as good, and in some cases too hard to figure it out, i like the fast play of MP and the fast spawns.....I'll prob buy it but in 3 months wolf and wolf2 will be gone

if you force a rotation then the players will have to play no matter what, even if they're the beach only type since ecgn is pretty much the last server left.

i wasn't here when rotations were attempted but the reason it probably didn't work was because there were other server alternatives before. now there is nothing. in addition, even if you do lose some of the beach only players there are older players coming back to play at this time to help balance this out.

if the rotation consists of all stock maps like village, sub, assault, ice, etc. then it should work. custom maps are a bad idea and will kill the server.

the majority of people i see on the server want to play different maps.

this has been considered in the past. its been tried and it never worked. as soon as the map changes about half the players leave.

Ya that does sound good shooter maybe they will make a even noobier weapon then the Panzerfaust for the tkers of ECGN lol.(ALL HAIL THE MAGIC MP-40 Making Headshots for the last 7 years of RTCW).:yes::sniper:

but i have heard rumors about magic or sumting, if they do thats fine but not for multiplayer you beastards.

Thanks for video, but I didn't hear anything on multiplayer in it and hopefully i can shut off that annoying gun to face feature.

you didnt watch til the end because he did mention the multiplayer briefly... he said the veil (slow motion) will be in the multiplayer. how does that work exactly? I don't know what to expect of the multiplayer but it certainly looks as if the movement/shooting style is on the COD end of the FPS spectrum. Which personally I don't like but it is the most popular shooter style of today.
