Hey yooper (or anyone who's gone to the U.P. of Michigan)

Is there a way to cross to the up w/o using the bridge but still bringing motorcycles? I've looked online and the map does show 1 ferry route that goes strt to the st Ignace bay. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. However I will try to contact the ferry company or some type of city related org. to verify whether or not I can do this.

P.s. reason is one of the people is taking a 250 rebel up and is afraid of being blown all over let alone trying to maneuver the grate. (tiny tires)
