when all that they're gonna do is f*** with their cfg so much that it looks NOTHING like real life anyway.
I see some of these screenshots from players and it looks more like an
X-ray.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's too many settings being changed, and not just video changes either. PB should have put an end to it years ago.
Keep EVERYONE on the same playing field..literally.
And please don't respond back with "You can have my cfg warpig", that's not my point. I don't want your cfg, I play FPS for the realism, if I'm not supposed to see you easily then that's the way it should be for EVERYONE.
Keep it to in-game menu changes only.

*Nothing more than legal hacks imo and hopefully this can be controlled better in the new wolf just incase the game does eventually work correctly.

When i play single player games i want the full experience, all graphics maxed out on 1680*1050 resolution. It really is a feast for the eyes and feeling of the game.
On multiplayer i want eyecandy too. As much as possible as long it doesn't interfere with the fps too much.
Those playing with Commodore64 graphics i don't understand either.

Well I guess games like Fallout 3, Oblivion, Crysis, Bioshock, are single player games that require a meaty graphics card. And those are great games that should be experienced with proper graphics/sounds etc. I wouldn't be suprised that people who buy expensive graphic cards also play these games but also still like to play rtcw for the multiplayer and its endless fun in gameplay. If I could, I would upgrade by comp everytime a new technology came out, but that is impractical and expensive. Instead I just bought a 360 so I dont have that problem.

I've known some people who play single player games, like F.E.A.R or Condemend but they don't put the brightness up to 5,000 times the suns brightness. Because they want to experience the thrill in the game. As for the same players making their graphics look horrible, and plain, they want to gain an advantage in any way, and not be hindered by visuals such as dark corners, fog, or particles.

Its like the huge increase in steroid consumption among athletes, or athletes who are modifying their body to gain any advantage over opponents.

I get that man. Totally. Problem is, if everyone had to keep the vanilla cfg, I (and many others??) would be at a horrible disadvantage. My box is ancient. The only way I can get similar gameplay/FPS to ppl with new quad-core dual-video rigs is by scaling way back on the graphics. In some ways, the cfg is a way to even the field...? Just a thought man...

I play any mutiplayer game with shitty graphics for one, a stable FPS

I play all single player games with the highest settings for gaming goodness

video cards are way down compared in the past, I used to pay in the upwards of 500.00 for a mid vid card, but now a days they are at the highest usually about 250.00-300.00

I usually upgrade every 2 years or so, and never ever ever, use vista, I'm a full version win xp install kinda guy, soon as I pull it out of box I format

PS alot of the settings you can change right in the multiplayer game

Just a thought, why buy consoles when u can emulate them and rom them 95 percent of time????

I bought a console because it is cheaper and it looks just as good as the PC version. Bigger tv (62'' 1080i HD) and better sound (1000 watt surround sound 5.1 DD). Friends can join and play. Its simple which is both good and bad.

What I don't understand is why people buy a 500 dollar video card, when a console costs the same and you are able to get similar quality and utilize the console for more tasks.

Leafy, IDK the game was made to run on a PII 400 machine. I have a 886mhz and a just as shitty video card. I think it looks and runs great. It's the timenudge. etc type stuff that is a load of BULLSHIT
Too many players not taking damage like the other players. I could go on and on but I'll stop because everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about.
