PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
Hello hello, post #1 but frequent player on the beach server.
Needing some help re: this frustrating error I'm getting within 1 minute of getting into the game....pbsetup is updated, and the various online threads don't seem to offer much in the way of a fix either.
Reboots, RTCW exit/restart, multiple times, same end result. Other than a rare exception or two, it's kept me off the server most of the past 2 weeks.
Any help is much appreciated....thanks!

Re: PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
Router/firewall? Windows version?
Re: PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
Windows XP Home Edition
MSFT Security Essentials Firewall
Linksys Wireless G Router, with some various security settings.
However, I don't believe any config has changed recently to correlate to when the packet flow errors started appearing. I might have tweaked one of the security checkbox options (I currently have i) block anonymous internet requests, ii) filter multicast, and iii) filter ident (port 113)) checked.
And I've never had to shut down any firewall with RTCW previously, but happy to try anything you may suggest. Thanks for the help-

Well, I shut down my router firewall tonight and didn't have any issues....since I had never needed to do so before, didn't see that as a possible issue. Could be coincidence, but guessing not.

Re: PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
I too was getting kicked for "corrupted pack flow" last night (1/22). I haven't been on ecgn for a few weeks, and everything was fine at that time. I haven't changed anything on my PC. It's the same configuration I've used for years. I thought maybe PB had a new update or somthing so I turned off the firewall, but it was the same. I didn't figure it was a server thing since there were 40 people playing just fine. After I gave up, I fired up the Wildwest mod for RTCW and ran around a WW server for about 20 minutes and all was well ?! I'm running XP Pro, and a Linksys wireless G router.

Re: PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
I thought taking my router firewall down during game play was the solution, but ran into the same problem last night. Then, after turning off both the router and Windows firewalls, I was able to play.
Still, not sure if that's really the normal mode of operation, never had this issue before. Are taking down firewalls standard operating procedure these days with PB?
My router is a Linksys WRT54G, firmware dating to 2005.

I updated my firmware, and was able to play with the router FW up, but Windows firewall down....I can probably live with that. Assuming that is a consistent solution.
Re: PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
Ok, more frustration. Tonight I've been kicked a dozen times....have restarted Wolf about five. Both firewalls down, no effect.
Pretty damn frustrating, and I'm out of ideas. Last night worked like a charm, first time in weeks....tonight complete futility, even after removing both firewalls.
Might be just too easy to speculate Comcast screwing with me, but it wouldn't shock me. In any case, any suggestions appreciated.

I have not had time to try getting on since I had the same issue (a week or so ago). I hesitate to say it since so many others seem to have no problem, but I suspect it could be a server-side issue at ECGN? has anyone else seen this lately? The same night I was getting kicked by ECGN, I was able to play without problem elsewhere (although it was the WildWest mod, not pure rtcw). I will try to get on later tonight and see what happens.

I'm not having any problems. Have you guys checked to see how many shrub folders you have, you should only have one, titled "Shrubmod" , I ran into some problems which were caused by the game creating a new shrub folder after a map change, these were named shrub, shru, shr,etc..
if you have any extra folders try deleting these and running the game.
good luck.

Re: PB - Corrupt Packet Flow Error - HELP
I have had this problem for a long time it went from 1.41, to 1.0, now to 1.33 when I have pb enabled it has a really laggy menu and then half the time you get kicked I have come to know that after you get kicked once u need to restart wolf twice and it works.
