haha, yeah the S.S. ET server, I shoot better on that then I ever did in Wolf, seriously it's smooth as butter, the worst I ever had was 2 lag spikes that lasted about 5 seconds, the 2 spikes were within an hour and a half (3 rounds) so trust me, its worth playing more. the Xp idea totally rules.

Actually the lag that most people are talking about isnt connection related lag its the actual gameplay lag. I can have lag on a server with a perfect connection. It is the way the character moves that gives the effect of lag. I read somewhere that Splash Damage left something called interpolation off when they released the test. This helps the charatcers move more smoothly and without it you get the effect of lag while playing. Its worse on some servers than others, but almost all servers have the same problem, hich is what is killing ET popularity. If they dont fix it soon or get the final out soon then they will have essentially wasted their time.as no one will play it do to the impresions received from the test.

umm, thats the IP I connect with, and I played several hours today amaryl, so I dunno what happened to you, but everything is fine for me, and as for TBAR, hey man if you know this is the cause, and probabily alot of others do too then why would it kill popularity if interpolation is on during the game. just wondering.

Because it gives the impression that the characters will continue to lag in the final version which is undoubtedly the biggest reason people stop playing ET.

Even thouhg it is a test, people see it as a demo of the final version, which it is not. I for one hope they fix all the little problems as it could turn out to be a great game, aside from the fact that it feels more like BF1942 than RTCW.

ok well first off, I'm not arguing with you in my words following, just stating differences in oppinion, and also thanks for your first post, I was totally unaware and that info is nice to know. Personally, I see the demo as just an entity through which feedback can be obtained by IDsoftware(and whoever else needs to know) So I expect the final to be far far better, as wolf was too. Also, I think that it still feels like rtcw because there are hallways to get in to and fight just like the old wolf, the tank thing brings the idea closer to BF1942 except you can't drive it, nor can you shoot the actual cannon. I see where you're getting your thought, but I've been playing a whole lot of ET and I think it totally reminds me of the beginnings of wolfenstein, everyone just plays their best and if they loose, they say good game and have a few laughs, after a game is out a few months people become much more anal. again [TBAR] thanks for your input, I'm very glad to know.

Wasting your time? I think its practice.

it´s a demo and the voices in game sucks, till then if nothing is upgraded ET, it´s going to be a waste of time
