Recording demos as spectator without scoreboard

Postby Anal Warts » Fri Jun 13, 2003 12:38 am

Greetings,

Does anyone know how to record a demo as a spectator in third person so that upon playback, the scoreboard does not display in the background?

Thanks,

The Wart

.....I think that if you select a player to follow first and then record your demo then the scoreboard doesn't show up.

Hmmm...

Yes but is this from a first person point of view or third person? I want to watch and record the action from above.

to remove the thing in the upper right:
/cg_drawteamoverlay 0

then to get it back:
/cg_drawteamoverlay 2

i found some 3rd person stuff, but ive never tested it out.

Notes:
Third person view can be used while viewing demos
Third person view
Examples:
/cg_thirdperson 1 Sets your view to third person (outside your body)
/cg_thirdperson 0 Sets your view to normal
/cg_thirdPersonAngle x Were x is a number, sets the degree you are facing the player at
/cg_thirdPersonRange x Were x is a number, sets the distance from the player (0=very close)

Hmmm...

I'll give this stuff a try, but what I see in the background of recorded demos is the score board as if the tab key was always being pushed...

Gambit...

You Rock!!!

Like you said, Pressing F4 during playback removes the scoreboard.

Thanks,
